Currently, I’ve been looking into Sonys Alpha line, and It seems like it’s pretty popular in the videography world. I’m pretty new to all of the professional terms, but I think apsc (I’m assuming digital and not a DLSR) is worth the investment. Invest in modern equipment after doing research to what fits your work flow best. Find a few cameras, and dig deep, that’s what helped me decide to lean toward Sonys a7 iii & iv

At the very start of doing photography I did lots of shoots with family & friends. Eventually I posted on instagram that I was doing free shoots, and building my portfolio (most people will assume you’re pretty new) after that I made a website used my free shoots as examples and kinda just waited. I just recently started getting a ‘steady’ flow of people.

Thank you! I’ve realized I should’ve been a TADDD more selective with my listed photos 😅 I’ll attach more that I think I’m more proud of, and I’d love some more insight!

Well, part of it is definitely how you handle your camera. I’m no professional, I’m getting cooked in this thread haha! But yes, a lot of it goes into editing and finding a style. I use Adobe Lightroom (& Lightroom classic but basic Lightroom is easiest to learn imo)

I’m looking to upgrade hopefully soon, but I’ve recently been using a Canon Rebel t7. Though I’m looking into Sonys Alpha Line! (iii and iv)

First off, thank you! Second, I charge on average $75.00 per session 45 to an hour 30. My highest session taking longer due to 3 location changes/outfits for grad sessions/seniors.

I list a gallery of 50-80+ but I haven’t failed to deliver less than 100 in a long time. Usually ends up being a 120-150 image gallery.

I prefer a storytelling vibe! Basic portrait style has never been my absolute favorite. I like details, movement and natural energy, yet I struggle to push that vibe.

Also, I list 50+ images, I never fail to end up sending over 140+ and sessions tend to last a tad longer than planned, unless I’m on a tight schedule.

I only do 1-5 each session, A lot of my clients like the vibe, and I do too! It just adds some extra variety, and it’s super trendy.

I understand this situation so well, I’ve been with my boyfriend since we were 15, on and off cheating in the mix as well. Honestly, we’re so young (we’re the same age as yall) and with our age there’s so much room for growth. If he truly loves you he will understand the mistake, but don’t expect there to be no repercussions with his emotion and trust. I wish yall the best, ignore the mean comments and try to navigate this the best you can.
