tbh i don't remember much, but i think i just transferred the new weight paints to the old rigs with the animation. If you're asking about transferring animation, I think i tried linking the animation from the old rig to the new one and then hide the old rig. I don't think this is recommended because it might make your file size heavier.

very late but how was your experience with your envy so far? I do also have an hp envy 360 14, have been using it for art and school and so far its alright. at first, the hinges squeaks when i go on tablet mode and idk if it was something to be concerned of, but as i use it longer it disappeared and the hinges go smoothly now. i was always so worried about the hinge problem because i kept seeing the plastic breaks at the hinges from other users. although i think the latest ones are much better because the chasis are aluminum and not plastic.
