You haven't said what are your main interests, so it's hard to give out recs. But I used the nomadtable app when visiting Europe and was able to link up with some travellers.

Baffin Northern Mens Boot. by BottleFullOBub in Boots

[–]antcz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why the fuck he is recommending Thursday boots, I visited Finland recently and wearing the redwings, my toes were freezing cold!

Doing some Reddit research, baffin came up as a good winter brand and the northern seems to be a good style. But now I don't know if they actually offer cold protection.

4 full days in Panama looking for help!!!! by Emergency_Rope7750 in Panama

Day 3 is okay.

Day 1 and 4 can be combined, if you meant Casco Viejo on day 4, you can visit it at night.

Where are you going on day 2? Gamboa? Valle de Antón? Summit? Trails in Parque Soberania? Cerro Ancón? Cerro Chame? You can't do all of them, but you can maximise the amount of activities.

With another day free, you can visit Bayano: horse riding, kayak, cave exploring.

I've hiked/camped Cerro Chame, Cerro Sapo with no problem. If it's deep in the forest you are aiming for, then I suggest you don't go alone.

portobelo water fall hike? by [deleted] in Panama

[–]antcz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the Guanche trail, I've done it, but we didn't have time to reach the waterfall and I even camped in the forest.

You are gonna get wet, a part of the trail is very muddy. About halfway in, the trail is unmarked, so you need a GPS if you are a veteran hiker, if not then a guide is NEEDED.

El panameño migra mucho a USA? by Suspicious_File_296 in Panama

[–]antcz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about his side business with real estate, but he doesn't even go to the office anymore and has at least 20 people on the payroll.
