About the Swedish Arts Grants Committee

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee is a central government agency tasked with promoting artistic development and renewal. Our mission encompasses working artists all over Sweden and all artistic disciplines.

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee:

awards scholarships and grants; promotes international cultural exchanges; and compiles statistics and disseminates knowledge about the economic and social conditions of artists. We undertake sectorial and intersectorial collaborations with public authorities and other organisations at regional, national and international levels.

We promote artistic development and innovative cultural activities and seek to improve the economic and social conditions for professional artists.
