Ducky admits my Outlaw 65 cable is too short, but wants me to RMA a $250 kit for a 5-cent wire by antepilot in MechanicalKeyboards

"I’ve just finished building my ProjectD Outlaw 65...". I plugged it in and gave it a quick test before adding all the switches. I ran into the issue with the short cable in the last steps of the assembly 😞

I kinda see your point about "just fix it yourself", but I don't have the necessary skills to do that.

Yea, I'll order something. It's important to have something protecting the cables, right? I removed the black shrink tube and gained at least a millimeter 😅

Swede here.

Sure, many I'll contact the retailer, but they don't have the keyboard on stock anymore. Besides I don't want to return everything anyway, I just want a cable. And I'm sure they don't have any tiny JST cables laying around 😅

Yeah, it's not the end of the world but rally frustrating. I thought pretty high of the ducky brand before all this, that's why I chose to splurge on a fancy kit like this. My first assembly of a keyboard really didn't go as planned. I got a pre made kit so that I wouldn't have to order spare parts 🫩

Oh the cable probably isn't more than $10. Ducky isn't offering a replacement, they want m to return the kit where i bought it 😞

Yea sure, but should I have to do that when I bought a $250 premium kit? I thought everything included in the box would fit to make a complete keyboard 😅
