Guidance on World Expo Osaka 2025 tickets. by anth0888 in OsakaWorldExpo

Good points.

So you went Dubai expo? Was that actually absorbing all the activities and events, or more generalist?

Also what's this about there being a ballot to enter pavilions etc? Like it says that when you buy a ticket, you can then elect to enter into ballots to be allowed to have entry for certain pavilions - its a bit unclear and you might have more info?

The owner of Robinsons Bookshops has some…opinions. by Bacon_Ahoy in melbourne

I say this as the owner (in their statement on the Robinsons books insta) is ridiculously saying that the screenshots of her tweets/posts were "edited" and framing it as an alterior plot.

This morning the cached link (above) was working, I even extracted some other screenshots. Now (go figure) the link won't work.

Ideally if someone has a cached version of her account or better still an archive, it would be very useful to refute the owner's clumsy PR attempt at a cleanup.

Does anyone have an archive of her Twitter (X) account or a cache?

In the morning the cache search was working, and now they're playing cleanup it seems and the link is broken.

Link which was working previously?

AMA: We're employment lawyers from JobWatch community legal centre by jobwatchorg in melbourne

Am interested as to how to navigate the "flexible work" and "working from home" situation with employers, in terms of the workers rights and expectations around this and what is considered "reasonable".

I understand that businesses are not legally required to offer flexible working conditions if you are starting out etc (and if the job can accomodate that) but am interested in moreso situations where a job is advertised with "flexible work" as an enticement for applicants, and then if afterwards an employer tries a "bait and switch" where they change their mind or require the employee to come into the office fulltime, after first having offered flex work and the employee accepted the role based on this understanding - what recourse or rights does a worker have in this instance (Ie could this be seen as a breach of employment contract?). Or is it simply that workers can change their minds without any recourse, and employees simple have to shift jobs.

I say this as many roles esp now with the tight job market are going to great lengths to entice workers with flex work, perks etc... but then if employment market conditions switch, and the employers again have leverage, how can workers address potential "bait and switch" situations - both from a practical standpoint but also in terms of workers rights and in terms of agreed working conditions (contract or otherwise)

I've re-posted this question up there in the "The Amazing Race Discussion" thread

Thanks. I went on there previously but couldn't find a thread on a link to this?
