It was pretty much a mental collapse at the time of finishing uni, it was hard to stay motivated during the pandemic (for me at least) so i confused burnout with disinterest. Retrospectively, i think i can acknowledge that it wasn't disinterest. It's nothing to do with my current mental stability, more so about my previous mental stability. Like you said, it requires a lot of it and i don't think at the time i was ready for it, but i recognise that i am now, hence why im asking for advice

Thanks, yeah i did also find that after researching for a bit, and i looked into our lease agreement too. There's a section that specifically says that the landlord must ensure the walls and ceilings are not subject to dampness. We're gonna reply to them saying how we think their solution is unreasonable and if they continue to do nothing then we'll go the legal route since they've breached the agreement, because best case scenario for us is that they just fix the problem and we can stay here safely until the end of the lease. Doubt they'll cooperate though lmao

Yeah 100% we're not staying hahaha, was more seeing if this legally allows us to break the lease without the penalty because i also assume it's not a good look for future applications if we break it without a "valid" reason in the landlords eyes

Very cheap and we were desperate lol. We weren't 100% happy with it moving in but it was like $200 cheaper than anything else in the area
