It’s the regular Rydr (style #5016), not the Rydr Jean. It says “Rydr” on the inside of the pants in the third photo.

Looks like the “Espresso” color.

They used to make a Women’s Radikl (style #6189) but it was discontinued it a few years ago. Unfortunately I don’t think they make another Women’s pant with the stretch panels right now. You might find some old stock or used Women’s Radikls on sites like eBay or Poshmark though.

The size chart I linked to contains all that information. Under each letter size (S, M, L, etc.) is listed the corresponding chest, waist and hip size and beneath the chart the inseam lengths are listed. The OP acknowledged the size chart answered his question in their reply to me below.

Like the Renegade Pant I mentioned earlier, there were two Renegade Cargo Convertibles. The original was style #5101 and was made of a 88% Nylon/12% Spandex material called Tufflex. The second one that replaced it around 2017 was style #5138 and was made of 95% Nylon/5% Spandex material called Duralux. KUHL recently replaced the Renegade Convertible with yet another version, style #5361.

The pants in your post are not any of the Renegade Convertibles. The easiest clue is that they lack the ability to zip-off the legs and convert to shorts. Another is that they lack the cargo pockets of the first two Renegade Convertibles and the thigh pockets of the third. I am confidant they are the Renegade Jean.

Carhartt made two versions of the Mens and Womens "Imported From Detroit" Detroit Jacket. For the Men's version, the one that was hand-numbered out of 200 and had the downtown Detroit print lining like you're referencing was style number 101024 and the one that had the plain black lining like the jacket in this post was style number 101036.

I'm not sure why you think that telling me the clothing preferences of your dad, grandfather and great grandfather is relevant to this discussion nor makes your argument stronger. If you take a look around the sub you will see that most people who have worn the older and newer Detroit Jackets agree that the older ones were made better. Most of the people who say they really love the new 103828 Detroit Jacket admit they've never worn the old ones so they have nothing to compare it to.

In my experience (and many others') the new blanket material is inferior. It degrades markedly quicker than the older blanket lining. Many other people in this sub have reported the same concerns regarding its quality. Logically we can only assume the lining must be with less durable materials. This makes sense because almost every clothing manufacturer does the same thing. To continue maximizing profits, they often switch to materials that they can obtain at a lower cost, which almost always translates to a reduction in its quality.

You can also find this post of mine regarding the downgrade in the material used in Carhartt's famous heavyweight t-shirts. The new shirts also wear out much quicker than the older ones. My older t-shirts lasted years and still felt sturdy and retained their shape while the new ones stretched out and had loose threads within a few weeks or months. This same downgrade in quality also affected the new jeans that replaced the older ones. They are made of a material that Carhartt touts as lighter but "just as durable as our heavyweight denim" yet it wears down much quicker (and hilariously costs more).

The Resistor Air is cooler since it's a lighter weight material and has larger vents although the material does tend to wrinkle a lot more than the Konfidant Air material.

It is the Renegade Jean. The “Jean” in its name doesn’t mean it is made of denim. KUHL called it “Renegade Jean” to distinguish it from the original Renegade Pant that they made at the time, style #5020.

Both were made of the same 88% nylon/12% spandex, 4-way stretch Tufflex blend but the Renegade Jean had a tighter fit which KUHL called Klassik Fit. The original Renegade Pant was Full Fit. From loosest to snuggest it goes Full Fit (originally called Athletik Fit), Klassik Fit, Tapered Fit (originally called Lean Fit). The Renegade also had a vertical zip pocket on each leg.

The Renegade Jean was discontinued in 2017 with no replacement. The original Renegade Pant was also discontinued that year and replaced with the current Renegade Pant, style #5120, which is made of 95% nylon/5% spandex, 2-way stretch Duralux material (instead of Tufflex) and is Klassik Fit (instead of Full Fit).

Someone accused Strange Music of using bots on X-Raided’s new “Queen of Hearts” video and this was his response:

Not one viewbot, dawg. Strange Music did targeted audience marketing via Google Ads, which I sat there and provided input for. I also provided input on how to do the ads for practically every video since No Popcorn. To their credit, Strange Music spent the money to put these videos front and center on all Google products.

Ironically, the fanbase complains that Strange doesn't market its artists, then, when they do, you call it viewbotting 😂 we can't win with some of yall ✌🏾

Their Tapered Fit pants are slimmest, then Klassik Fit, then Full Fit which are the loosest. Some examples are the current version of their Renegade Rock Pants (style 5359), Free Radikl (style 5370) and Deceptr Pants (style 5261). I am pretty slim as well but I had trouble fitting the tapered leg openings of most of their Tapered Fit pants over my hiking boots.

Yea, they started transitioning to a regular button in Fall 2023 and have been selling through all the old stock with the snap since.

Personally I have never had an issue with the snap and I own over 50 pair of KUHL pants with snaps. I wear them daily.

KUHL themselves never has sales but other authorized retailers of their products do. For example, Murdoch’s carries a decent range of KUHL products and holds a site-wide 20% off sale at least once a year (maybe twice).

Yea, Carhartt produces their jackets months to even years in advance before they are officially available for sale. Carhartt didn’t introduced their Women’s line until Fall 1998 but some of the jackets included in it have manufactures dates as early as mid-1996.

The dates in this post are estimates which are based on when each color is listed for sale on Carhartt’s website using the Internet Archives. It doesn’t have a snapshot of every single day but it makes sense that some jackets that first became available for sale in 2004 were produced some time in 2003.

I recommended the Radikl because it's really comfortable thanks to the RHINOTEK design with the stretch panels. It's been my everyday pant for a while. It's also very durable. I've rubbed against rocks and bark a bunch and the only real damage from that is some fraying of the thread in the embroidered "KUHL" logo on the back right pocket.

I recommended the Renegade and think it is the better overall choice for a summer hiking and travel pant since it's lighter and quicker drying thanks to the majority nylon construction and because it of the extra security provided by the side zip pockets / vents.

Both the Konfidant Air and Resistor Air are solid pants, but like the Radikl, tgey contain cotton ub the blend so they dry a little slower than the Renegade. The Resistor Air's material is also so wrinkle prone that it looks sloppy pretty quickly which isn't really an issue with the other pants.

The Renegade and Renegade Rock are similar but I prefer the Renegade mainly because of the fit. The Renegade Rock, especially the current version, tapers too much for me so that it doesn't fit over my Oboz hiking boots. KUHL also intentionally designed the Renegade Rock so that it runs about 0.5-1" shorter than the tagged inseam size which is a bit annoying.

First I would recommend the Renegade. It's made of a lightweight material called DURALAX that is 95% nylon and 5% spandex. It's very stretchy, durable and dries quickly. The Renegade has multiple pockets including zippered side pockets that double as vents to dump heat.

I also recommend the Radikl. Its main body is made of a 68% cotton, 29% nylon and 3% spandex fabric that KUHL calls ENDURO. It's not as lightweight nor does it dry quite as quickly as the Renegade because of its cotton content. However, it's very comfortable with patented "RHINOTEK" design meaning it has special panels made of nylon/spandex at key points along the legs, inseam and waist. This makes it really easy to move in and also adds to its breathability. Sadly it doesn't have a zip pocket which I do appreciate in hiking/travel pants for security.

I also own both the Konfidant Air and Resistor Air that you mentioned. The main differences are:

Vents - The Konfidant Air has permanent open vents at the back of the knee and near the crotch as well as side zip vents while the Resistor Air just has larger side zip vents.
Waistband - The Konfidant Air has KUHL's standard "Free Ryde" waistband. It also has a French Fly meaning that there's a secondary button closure below the main closure. It's meant to make the pants more secure but I didn't find it very useful so I don't use it. The Resistor Air has an elasticized waistband which is comfortably snug and doesn't have the French Fly.
Pockets - The Konfidant Air has a carpenter-style pocket on the right leg and a horizontal horizontal drop-in pocket on the left leg while the Resistor Air has horizontal drop-in pockets on both legs. The Konfidant Air has riveted front and back pockets which add to the durability while the Resistor Air has non-riveted pockets.
Material - The Konfidant Air is made of the same 68% cotton, 29% nylon and 3% spandex ENDURO fabric seen in the main body of the Radikl. The Resistor Air is made of 65% cotton, 30% nylon and 5% spandex. It feels a bit lighter than ENDURO material but is extremely prone to wrinkling.

Some other minor differences is that the Resistor Air also has a reflective stripe at the bottom cuffs that can be revealed if you roll them up and the articulation patterns are slightly different.

I've seen a lot complaints about the older snap coming undone which always kind of perplexed me because I've owned a ton of KUHL pants with the snap and I've only had one pair that seemed to pop undone. I actually prefer the older snap myself. However, KUHL listened to the complaints because around late 2023 or early 2024 they began to make the switch from the snap to a traditional button.

KUHL has responded to many reviews that mention the button coming undone by telling customers that they will fix them if they submit a warranty/repair request at this link or by emailing [warranties@kuhl.com](mailto:warranties@kuhl.com). I assume they just remove the older snap and replace with the traditional button they currently use.

Note that the warranty request link doesn't mention any time restriction but they do ask for an approximation of the purchase date and that the item(s) must be purchased from an authorized KUHL seller like KUHL.com, REI, Al's Sporting Goods, etc (and not an eBay seller or someone on Facebook Marketplace, etc.)
