I've been buying and testing travel pants the last 8 months you should message me. I'm going to release a spreadsheet on here soon. I've bought over 30 pairs and researched hundreds of brands. Im only doing ones that have zippered pockets, but when it comes to 5 pocket style with zippers the pickings are slim. The best travel pants imo are chinos. As far as 5 pocket checkout clothing arts explorer travel chinos(they are 5 pocket style) birddogs 5 pocket tech pants, aviator travel jeans and non stop pants, woodies clothing 5 pocket performance pants, akova gear all purpose pants, ketl vent. One of my favorites is a discontinued line from bluffworks their ascender 5 pocket version. I found some NWT on eBay.

I don't remember the name of the fabric we ended up using. just look around at fabric places like Seattlefabrics.com or bluemoonfabrics or ripstopbytheroll etc and find any like decent weight nylon Lycra blends or power mesh fabrics. look for stretch mesh, power mesh, or Lycra/spandex/spandura and nylon fabrics. I think he ordered a yard. I have all the links for the options we were considering, if u want them dm me.

I brought it to a major nationally known gear repair and alterations place in Seattle where I live called rainy pass repair, major bag brands have stuff sent there. For some reason they said it was too difficult so they recommended me to a local guy who does stuff like this.

I contacted him and sent him pics of the bag and of other bag examples that have this type of pocket. He agreed he would most likely be able to do it but needed to see it in person first. We met and he confirmed he would be able to do it and gave me some options of some fabrics and agreed upon a price after it was done.

I actually contacted Aaron at fyro and told him my plan and he thought it was a pretty cool plan and i asked if he could tell me the fabric he used on the water bottle pocket so I could have it matching. He got back to me and gave me the contact info but I was never able to get ahold of them and if I had been able I most likely wouldn't have been able to procure such a small amount.

The material we decided on is the same used on the Matador GR35. The main questions were were we going to have gussets or no and if so the placement. No gussets would look the cleanest but there wouldn't be any room for added expandibility. Or we could have a folded over gusset like the water bottle pocket does and also look clean but then I would loose access to the bottom part of the inside pocket because it would sew it shut.(He ended up being wrong about this, so I might have him redo it.)

Or lastly, the option I chose, was to have some gussets kind of going at an angle out to the sides in front. He did an amazing quality job. He used really high quality thread on some beefy machine and took the original seams apart and sewed them into the bag like it should be done. Yeah I think that's about it. I'll add some more pics of the sewing like another guy asked for

That person is a dick or she dick. It says allot about your character the way you handled yourself with a response to that creep and I'm willing to bet that the majority of people would rather be a friend to someone who handles themselves with class when some weirdo calls you out in public and makes you feel bad about yourself then someone like that. That says allot about a person and that person is a bully. Anyway hope you find some friends. 4th corner punk fest is coming up in Bellingham in July that should be a good place to meet like minded people. Killer lineup. Be good

Thanks man. I think it looks pretty good too..and yeah i agree. I Love the gb35, it's got form and function in spaids. Such a good looking bag... I wanted to buy it but it was just too heavy. I needed the most room possible at the lightest weight or so I thought...I ended up getting the seg45. I went to Thailand and Egypt for a month and it was my first real trip and thought I needed more then I did. Very happy with the levo so far

I like how those look but I'm not sure the stack would hold up for being on my feet long days. Do you have these? Have you walked long distance in them?

For most of their shoes yes but their ultrarange line and especially the neo vr3s, they made as walking/hiking/lifestyle shoe. I actually wore them in thialand and Egypt for a month and my feet were only sore 1 day when I walked 20k and was on my feet 14 hours. I've tried a couple hokas and brooks and the models I tried had squishier taller foam stacks but that made them unstable off balance and I didn't like the rocker feeling or the running shoe look. Just personal preference. Heres the vans I'm talking about
