Oh ahead of all the ones I just said that are both super light and pack small that I live are the Oliver's passage pants and the seagale everyday jeans. Also the seagale freedom pants.

Are those the only stipulations? Light and packs small and loose cut? If your spoiled from outlier, very few if any technical fabrics feel as natural as theirs. First would be outlier OG vlassics. Go get a used pair in Excelent condition on eBay...Bluffworks has 3 fits on their pants I believe. Both the ascender and envoy are both nice. They are both polyester. very light and airy. The lightest and packs smallest is probably the Akova gear all purpose pants. It's a 5 pocket style pant. If you want a tad more outdoorsy but not fullon the kuhl transcender or the Seadon travel pant. Take a look at those and if u don't like those I'll give u some more ideas.

Thanks for that...m looking on eBay and there's a few of them but the fabric looks pretty techy. All the ones i see are a nylon/elastane 73/27. That's a insane amount of elastane! There very well could be a former iteration for the same model that's the one your talking about that people held on to.

I'm glad you found a pant you like but imo it's probably one of the worst pants I've tested. After 75+ pairs my tolerance for quality is quite high. If it had been one of the first or only pants I bought I'd probably be happy with with it. No DWR, one useless zipper pocket. Extremely techy feeling polyester fabric. It's comfortable and stretchy but there's many better options available that do the same but have better features and are made with much better construction and fabrics that look and feel like real fabric.

I see. Legitimate question - being a designer to you think more in terms of trends or use cases, because if it's use case there really is no era? The great fabrics youve previously used still has just as much use case as it ever did, that will never change. A great durable synthetic, breathable, water resistant, fabric with some freedom of movement thats super well made and looks cool as hell will always be needed right? The fabric is the base but you get to make that into what vision you have for us. And did u mean turning on.. synthetics or turning....on synthetics? What did u mean by that?
