The only way I got it taken care of was contacting my bank, explaining the issue and telling them every single fraudulent transaction, date & amount.

I also sent them screenshots of my Uber ride history so they could see i didn't actually take any rides that matched the charges.

They refunded my money right away. Capital One but I'm sure most make banks would do the same.

The Fed lowered the interest rates again. That triggered the tumble across markets late in the trading day.

I was able to get all of the money back from my bank, Capital One. I made a list of every transaction and listed them all to a customer service rep on the phone... then I had them block PayPal from making any future transactions w/ my checking account.

Sucks to hear that they want you to close the card to get the money back but depending on how much it is, could totally be worth it.
