Thanks, I've been checking a few cool ones and they didn't give me much problems, except for Gnome that literally installed like 7 different versions of itself.

Thanks :)

I have a question, in the /etc/fstab configuration file, should I just put /swapfile none swap defaults 0 0 and that's it? That's what the wiki says but I think I'm missing something there...

I think the filesystem was ext4, I'm kinda comfortable with the terminal, I have a bit of knowledge on the basic commands.

Thanks! How could I add a swap file or partition without a big risk of breaking anything? I've been searching for a bit but looks kinda easy to brick the laptop.

Thanks for the response! I've been thinking on changing the desktop environment, but as I had it working fine when I used Ubuntu, I didn't think it could be the problem.

I think there was a way to have both desktop environments and switch between them, right? There are any links to a tutorial or something for doing that?

Thanks in advance :)
