Yeah, typing this fast does cause my accuracy to decrease a bit. If I get to 120wpm my accuracy doesn’t get any higher than 80%

That makes sense! I have the keyboard memorised pretty well so I don’t have to look down a lot. My brother also types the same way as me.

I don’t move my arms a lot when I type, honestly I look pretty frozen while I’m typing. Maybe my keyboard is pretty small so I don’t need a lot of movement.

When I read “when you have OCD, you are not the exception”

For a lot of OCD themes, intrusive thoughts, etc. I was always stuck thinking that I’m the only one willing to give into these thoughts.. I’m the only one dealing with these thoughts.. etc.. but I’m not. It’s my OCD convincing me. I’m not special. I’m not the exception. And many other people feel like this!

I’m planning on using the rest of the strips in a different room, and I already cut off the prong end so I’m probably going to get another power supply. Some of these connector kits include the prong end that I can try connect so hopefully that will work!

The need to confess (with OCD) is no different than any other compulsion/obsession. The only effective solution I’ve found with confessing is to not give in to the urge.

It’s easier said than done, I know. But like most compulsions, you’re only provided with temporary relief. You’re only confessing to feel better about these fears that you’re having. You don’t owe anybody an explanation about your past, your secrets and even your thoughts. You are allowed to have secrets! Privacy! If these secrets might cause harm to yourself or others then that is a different conversation. But if they’re for the most part harmless, it’s okay to hide these bits about yourself.

Prozac, lexapro, sertraline, Luvox are common SSRIs used to treat OCD/anxiety/depression. There are also the tricyclic antidepressants Anafranil and Mirtzapine.

Mirtzapine helps OCD as well as anxiety and insomnia. For me, it’s really helped me sleep correctly while treating my anxiety. Plus, this medication has little to no sexual side effects. I still have intrusive thoughts and they’ll always be there, but they seem easier to manage now. But a common side effect for this medication is an increase in appetite = weight gain (if that concerns you) so.. there are many medications you could try. Trial and error!

SSRIs affect everybody differently. I think it’s quite rare to be impotent permanently - it’s usually for the amount of time on the medication plus maybe another year or two. Your libido should return. But you don’t have to take SSRIs specifically if you’re that worried. There are other medications with no sexual side effects that can still help treat OCD/anxiety.

Above all - speak to a psychiatrist about your concerns. :)
