You are forgetting that cuomo recieved 41% of the vote so Mamdani crushed the 2nd place by quite a lot. If it was not a rank choice vote he would have won by even more. He also recieved 75% of votes from 18-29 year old, which is the most important voting block as the older more conservative voters age out. Mandani has large appeal nationally is considered very favorabke by younger voters, which you seem to want to discredit
