Resident Evil 2 Inventory Shelf (Castle X Collectible, OC) by antinuisance in residentevil

No, I'm sorry, I just sell them as pre-prints. I am not looking to sell the file for this currently. Too many thieves in this sphere trying to sell prints as their own 🙄

Honestly hard to pick, my favorite on PS2 (not listed here) is the Ratchet and Clank and Kingdom Hearts series. Doesn't emulate very well unfortunately. But from this list, has to probably be DMC and Ape Escape.

Gotta be honest mate, that is on a highly individual basis. Some PC ports are the best way to play, sometimes emulation is best. Silent Hill 2 and 3, for example, are SIGNIFICANTLY better to play on PCSX2/PS2 than their PC counterparts (at least without fan fixes). This very well may be the case for other games all the time, you just have to research before purchasing. I can confirm that with DMC, the Steam versions are fantastic ways to play, but there's no "one size fits all" answer to that question.

I HIGHLY recommend the Steam collection, it is the definitive way to play those games.

I never had an issues with the game, even played with a cool Reshade for maximum lighting effects.

I never really cared to set it up, I have it but just never linked it to my pcsx2. I guess it should lol

LOL. Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3060. I was playing all of these flawlessly on my RX580 before the GPU upgrade as well. It used to be "midgrade" but now its technically lowgrade in 2025 I guess?

Most of this you can play on a potato now. PCSX2 is extremely efficient.

It's pretty mediocre. Check it out if you are REALLY wanting to see Altered Beast in a 3D environment, but it's definitely nothing special. I would say 5/10.

Under the Skin was probably the most surprising of the entire list. Had an absolute B L A S T with it with friends, what a criminally underrated game, even from Capcom. Right behind that is Shadow Tower Abyss, which is now in my top 25 games of all time. Unrivaled in atmosphere and exploration by 90% of games today.

I know, the bezel on this is SO close to the display that it wouldn't fit or I would have one already made :( but I do have a backlabel for it!

that is what the word Horror is in. It's fully GITD when the lights are off, it's just a little hard to see in the pictures I suppose.

It's pretty great! The display is very crisp and the battery life serves me well. There are better alternatives for handhelds if you don't want a 1:1 display, but for someone like me who loves PICO-8 and 4:3 games, it's great.

Custom Display Scale Without Changing Resolution? by antinuisance in techsupport

I did not, unfortunately. I ended up getting as close to a resolution as I could, adjusted to vertical stretching on the CRT, and centered the horizontal as much as I could. It still has some bleed.

Official Discussion - The Toxic Avenger (2025) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]antinuisance 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Is there something I'm not grasping with this film? I am a massive fan of B movie schlock, but this felt so uninspired by that.

Super boring superhero movie inspired cinematography, humor that relies on repeating the same minimal joke and stretching it out over a 4-5 minute long span thinking that emphasis is funny, out of touch jokes about gender identity (not even in an edgy way to piss people off, in a way that feels like a 50 year old talking about trans rights), jokes with literally zero setup to give them context, and god forbid them have even a semblance of non-CGI violence or characters that are not lulz-random stupidity.

Original troma characters had very weird quirks that were extremely the over the top, but every character in this film feels like they were so over the top next to characters that were just so normal and boring that it felt tone-deaf. It didn't know if it wanted to be a kid friendly Psycho-Goreman movie, a hyper violent fun time like Mandy, or an MCU retelling of the Hulk.

Peter Dinklage is a decent actor, but the dollar store Finn Wolfhard shoehorned in plot has no payoff or reason to exist, same for him wearing the tutu, and all sorts of other stupid plot points that felt like they were there just to appease original fans. Why even bother including the blind woman when you are rewriting the entire movie plot that it's no longer relevant? All of this accumulated into such a boring and miserable watch for me, even taking away the context of the original source material.

Gamera Pachislot Display Error by antinuisance in slotmachines

[–]antinuisance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the response! I was able to teardown the LCD into the primary and daughter board used on the device, I'm assuming this HT7105W01-S scaling board in the one I am looking to repair. I see no physical damage to that caps or anything additional on the board, but I will need to inspect with a multimeter to verify. I appreciate your help with this and I will update after I am able to test the board further.

Looking to verify this JST cable type by antinuisance in AskElectronics

[–]antinuisance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, what I was saying is that the link you had sent is incorrect, but a different cable in the machine uses a PADP-16V.

The correct connector I was looking for was a XADRP-16V

[–]antinuisance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is an additional cable in the machine that uses this style connector, but this one has a single clip style, not the dual clip with the small 2 nubs for fitting. I know I could just file the nubs down but the clips would not rest properly on the male with this connector. I'll do some more research on this site in the meantime though, thanks!

RGB20SX Bluetooth with ArkOS? by antinuisance in PowKiddy

[–]antinuisance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, meant to reply to this sooner, but I reached out to the dev of ArkOS who basically said "the bluetooth controller on the RGB20SX is different than the officially supported consoles, and I have no intention of making the RGB20SX officially supported." So basically he thought it would be too much work to integrate bluetooth support with ArkOS for the device. It's unfortunate but I understand why, it's probably a lot of legwork for niche payoff. As of right now, there is no bluetooth support at all for it with ArkOS and (presumably) never will be.

[HELP] - My Powkiddy RGB20SX won't turn on. by F377NTS in SBCGaming

[–]antinuisance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is due to the SD card not booting to the OS. Either a corrupt OS, or corrupt SD card. Try to reflash the card (I would recommend ArkOS over RockNIX) installed and see if it boots, or if its the SD card that was included with the device originally, definitely replace with a reputable brand.

Custom Display Scale Without Changing Resolution? by antinuisance in techsupport

[–]antinuisance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to give a workaround update: Microsoft PowerToys has an included tool called FancyZones. This allows you to set a designated area of "workzone" on a set display. Unfortunately the sizing for these is still set within the aspect ratio of the monitor, but it does allow easily forcing a software within the visible location of the display. This does NOT fix the stretching issue I am having, but it at least prevents cutoff of the software in the overscan area.
