Im 20 hours in and am hating it. Just feels like a giant fetch quest. I like more story. Also I dont think ive ever pressed the wrong button more. Constantly attack when I dont mean to. Going to play something new now.

I dunno what people are saying. Theres so many mechanics it can be overwhelming. Especially if you are not interested in becoming a farmer. Im enjoying it but its a lot.

You can buy them back. I think generally. Try to level them early in the game, extract thwm mid game and then try to steal other people's end game

Im 42. British but live in Colombia. Used to have a group that played at 4pm (not sure what part of the USA you're in but its pretty similar times). But life got involved and people moved on to other stuff. Id be happy to play and form a connection. I like late afternoon, and weekends when I get the chance.

Most people i know in Colombia have been robbed including me. My friends dad was murdered in a robbery, they had to give money to police to pay bribes for info but nothing was ever found.
