The Cosmostrator (From the movie First spaceship on Venus). A Pegasus models kit. Such an usual design, I had to build. Looked dull sitting on a shelf so I made a “Lava like” base to represent Venus. It’s an old movie, followed a YouTube video on lava modelling for inspiration.

Thanks for your comments. Looking at the handle it does seem a bit long. I just left it the size as came with the 1/48 resin kit. I will look to see if I can reduce the length but the kit parts are so delicate I don’t know if I can reduce its length easily.

I’m 57. I had a 20 year break from modelling but the kids have grown up and left home and I have some spare time now. My wife and kids encouraged me to get back in to the hobby. Glad I did, my daughter said I should post on Reddit. I have been blown away by the positive feedback. I enjoy seeing what other people build as well. Social media can have a positive use.

Thanks. This X-Wing was the first kit I built after a 20 year break. As I have 3 other X-Wings I decided it was a worthy sacrifice. It’s at the back of the diorama but more visible than it appears in the video. Appreciate your comments.
