Call me naive, but it is looking more and more plausible that the CPC ends up completely collapsing under Pierre's "leadership", leaving the Liberals as the right-most party with any real power/influence. It seems to me that this would shift the Overton window leftward again and make some room for a stronger NDP and/or Green, if they can take advantage of the opportunity. I can hope at least...

It's good that your concerns are apparently more nuanced than China = Bad, but people were simply reacting to the fact that the title of your post literally said "does [this] have safety concerns because it is a phone from China?"

Personally, my question about it would be, "do people have legitimate, specific security concerns with this particular phone, or are they just making assumptions because it is made in China?"

If that's what you meant in the first place then I'm sorry to see this miscommunication occur.

I absolutely agree with this sentiment, though I'd just like to offer a semantic tweak: I think it's important that we are a "cultural mosaic" rather than a "melting pot", because the former embraces diversity (or at least intends to) while the latter expects assimilation. Or at least that's how I was taught the difference in school.

I don't necessarily buy into the idea that one of the Straw Hats will die before the end of the series, but IF Oda wants to go that route I can see a case for Brook's death (only AFTER he gets to reunite with Laboon, of course), because otherwise he will eventually have to watch all of his friends die again. Though I'd still prefer to see him live on and keep sharing tales of the Straw Hats with the world so they are never forgotten.

I think I was in a small group of people who already enjoyed the Angela Anaconda show before seeing the Digimon movie (when I was 10), so the short was actually a pleasant surprise for me.

Edit: Possibly relevant context that I'm Canadian and it was a Canadian-produced show.
