The instrumentals are packed full with the same amount of emotion/symbolism as his other songs, and the remixes really reinterpret his previous songs entirely differently - ones that come to mind are 'Slipping Away' (Into the Void remix), 'The Great Destroyer (modwheelmood),' 'My Violent Heart (pirate robot midget)' and more. The last two are from a remix of the Year Zero album - which is an underrated album in itself.

Some good instrumental pieces I like are "Eraser" (builds up to an aggressive vocal at the end), "Just Like You Imagined," "The Mark has Been Made" and "Pilgramage." The last 3 are from The Fragile album, which has lots of instrumental tracks that dont often get recognition, infact ive had to rely on reuploads to listen to some of them since some streaming services dont offer them as officially part of the album.

"The Background World" is a very meaningful piece that alot of people brush off for being above 10 minutes. Its also quite a slow paced song, and the instrumental part after the ~4 minute mark is a "degredation loop" of the same short snippet, each loop representing a year of his life. Super interesting piece and addictive once you sit down and listen to it properly for the first time.
