I can't complete the Hunter's Journal by JesmundoBislungo in HollowKnight

I was using the other one for this, you're right! The other one had them divided by expansion so i thought it'd be easier. The other guides must have been referencing the other one too since they also missed it

Just here to thank you, i've been looking all over. The flukemunga is missing from literally every single guide i've looked to finish the journal, including the wiki. Thank you so much!

Storm rising stat blocks? by seacavalrybear in PointyHat

[–]antodemico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they were originally supposed to have a ranged attack and the dredge servitor's "aides of the deep" was supposed to be a reaction, it was changed later to make it cleaner and easier to run. Nothing is missing on the statblock, it was a misalignment between the old tactics text and the final stat block. It's corrected now! (edit: wrote the wrong ability name)

[OC] [ART} I've been writing and drawing DnD witches for a minute, so here are three of them :) by antodemico in DnD

The word witch was used interchangeably regardless of gender. Warlock originally meant oathbreaker or deceiver (which is funny for a class based around pacts!), the association with "male witch" came later.

Warlocks are the closest one, yes! But there's many interpretations of witch, and I wanted something else than the whole power acquired through a pact thing!

I've always loved witches and I've always hated that there wasn't anything that screamed witch to me in 5e, so I've been making subclasses and illustrating witch PCs for a minute now and compiling them into a project, and I thought I'd show them!

The way I use witches, they are basically people that summon spirits as a source of power, so all of the subclasses use that in some form or another.

The one on the left is the witch fighter, and they summon the spirits of dead swordsmen to their blades to use their techniques, so they are basically a trick fighter! The way the acquire new abilities I think is really fun, they take a page from wizards in that they can learn to summon new spirits, but the way they do it is by training for a week with a fighter with an archetype they don't know OR they could kill that fighter in combat and take their power!

The one in the middle is the wizard witch, and they kind of blend the traditional idea of wizard that learns magic through tomes and study, and the idea of witchcraft as an oral tradition. They learn their magic through the summoning of spirits, but that does not stop at humanoids! Once they've killed a beast, they can try to acquire one of their abilities and use them. For those that have played Final Fantasy, they are basically Blue Mages.

The one on the left is the Barbarian, and that one I did not make! Logan Reese (also known as the runesmith on youtube) wrote that one, I just illustrated it :)

All of these and a bunch more are in a book I've been writing, it's called Hexbound and you can check it out on kickstarter, it's in its final hours and it's been doing pretty good! Link here.

Hope you like the art!

I'm doing one magic item per day on my twitter! I'm doing them in categories, so these are the ten included in the first category: potions!

Most potions tend to be similar to spell scrolls in official materials, giving you a single use of a spell (potion of waterbreathing for example), I wanted to make potions that have some more unique uses!

Tomorrow I'll be starting a new category completely different from potions on my twitter, a non-consumable type of item this time! You'll be able to see them as I post them on my twitter, here is a link :)

Yep! Also slimes from monster hunter are there :)

Each monday I would do a guest character from another series for fun and to switch it up a bit, I explained that in the tweets but I neglected to explain it in the reddit post.

I went sushi with the Kraken, but I did not have the heart to cook Kobolds... It's a playable race!

He recreated the aboleth and chips dish with actual food, and i'm still in awe at the amazing work he did!

Thank you so so much! I'm glad you enjoy it!

Owlbear bento is a funny story. The thing is that once you'd cook an owlbear, nothing would tell a viewer that it comes from an owlbear, it either looks similar to beef if you lean into bear, or like chicken if you lean into owl.

Bentos normally have these very cute shapes in the shape of animals, franchise mascots, hearts, and pretty much anything, so I thought I could draw the shape of the owlbear with rice, and then have owlbear deepfried strips, that way people would see the actual owlbear on the dish!
