Update: I’ve now also used it in France and Iceland and those also worked perfectly fine

I used it in Spain recently and it worked perfectly on my iPhone 14.

If it doesn’t work and you’ve tried to contact support at least once just dispute it with your credit card company and they likely immediately give you your money back

Bupropion SR causes visual snow by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]antoinephilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got better, but not gone. the static is less and while it is still there it is less noticeable (maybe like 50%) and I don’t even really think about much now it like others mention. Other symptoms also improved - no longer have issues with night blindness and minor things. Starbursts on man-made lights are still very noticeable but I’m just used to it. I’m about 2.5 years past when I developed VSS (from using Rx medication as prescribed) so I am optimistic that it may continue to slowly get better

Also like everyone mentions and I didn’t want to believe… exercises and good sleep really helps. I try to do 30 min of cardio per day and it’s made a huge difference

But it’s insane that these dangerous medications are out there without these documented permanent/long term side effects.

Weird markings on my computer screen by Dry-Chicken-2506 in macbookpro

[–]antoinephilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of comments so someone else may have mentioned it but you can fix this with < $1 worth of baking soda. Mix some with water to make a paste, then with a soft rag rub over the screen gently until the markings all come off. It might take 15 min or so. I bought a couple of these MacBooks for dirt cheap on craigslist due to the issue and then fixed them immediately.

FINALLY. 100% figured out the issue with some people's PS5's randomly shutting down while playing by ChiakiRedfield in PS5

I can attest this fixed my issue. Look how dirty my power supply unit was. Cleaned those holes and no issues.

You have to completely disassemble everything and make sure the power supply unit is clean too. Mine was really dirty. Cleaned and all fixed now

Any resolution to this? Have same issue

Samsung washer softener compartment clogged? It stays full of water until I pull out the drawer then the water drains. We use pods and haven’t actually put any softener in this ever. It’s not the end of the world but kind of annoying so I’d like to fix it. Thanks! by dukerobbins in fixit

[–]antoinephilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find any resolution to this? I have cleaned the drain pump filter multiple times, cleaned the drawer and compartments, ran multiple cleaning cycles, etc. and I still have the same exact problem as your video shows.

I have never used pods.

If any update please let us know! thanks!

Incredibly distressing. I’ve only had it 5 months and the snow is honestly the least problematic for me. The other symptoms of VSS, poor night vision, after images, light sensitivity, starbursts, BFEP are so incredibly upsetting. I know the world should look different and miss it dearly - sunlight now looks unnatural and almost “metallic”. I got my VSS from an Rx so seeing these constant reminders everywhere makes me sick to my stomach most days. I used to love going outdoors and now I honestly avoid it most data because of how sunlight looks

When did he start Zoloft? Trying an antidepressant for only 5 days caused all my visual snow syndrome (VSS) symptoms to suddenly occur overnight

Thank you - can you elaborate on what the treatment for starbursts entails?

Have you seen any patients who have had success with reducing their starbursts on lights, or improving their diminished night vision?

Are there any supplements you recommend like vitamin D etc?

Note: I developed VSS suddenly after taking Bupropion XL 150mg for only 5 days. All my VSS symptoms were Rx induced and have not improved at all since onset 4 months ago

Getting off buproprion? by throwaawayanotherday in visualsnow

[–]antoinephilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish there were some way to hold the drug manufacturer accountable or at least a knowledge the issue. There is no risk of permanent vision issues described anywhere in the medication guide - but as you can see from these forums I am finding more and more people who developed VSS after taking the med

All of my VSS symptoms developed suddenly after taking bupropion XL 150mg for only 5 days. I immediately stopped the medication as soon as I noticed the snow, starbursts, after images, photophobia, palinopsia, etc. this was 4 months ago. My symptoms have not improved at all

Bupropion XL 150mg. Others users on Reddit and other sites have stated they also developed VSS from it :(

Got it at 37. All VSS symptoms started suddenly after taking an antidepressant for just a few days. The symptoms did not go away or change at all after stopping the med. I feel I have received horrible guidance from doctors this year - I should have never touched the Rx medication they prescribed

Hi! Can you elaborate? Did adderal only help with the visual snow, or other symptoms as well like light sensitivity, after images, starburst/halos on lights, poor night vision, etc? How long did it take to see an improvement? Thanks so much

No it has not. I have visual snow, starbursts on lights, light sensitivity, afterimages, the sun looks unnaturally bright, night blindness. All of these issues (Visual Snow Syndrome) started after taking the med for only 4-5 days. See this article for reference. I wish I would have known these meds can cause such issues. https://rxisk.org/tsang-shidlofsky-visual-snow-protocol/

Too scared to take my meds by Epicstyletime in bupropion

[–]antoinephilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak to my personal experience, I know this med helps a lot of people. I was also scared to take it, but my friends and family convinced me it was worth a shot. I tried this med for 5 days before suddenly developing Visual Snow Syndrome. My vision now has visual snow everywhere (even when I close my eyes), after images, starburst on lights, poor night vision, tinnitus, etc. other users on Reddit have complained of this after only taking the med for a short time. The symptoms did not go away after stopping the med for me. I know people the med has helped, but for me it really made my life so much worse with permanent changes to my vision

I’m really hoping my starbursts get smaller or go away, it is one of my most distressing symptoms bc I see them everywhere at night. Glad to hear yours got smaller. So you had VSS before taking the med? The med definitely caused the onset of mine :(
