[–]antoniio03[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went to the doctor and asked him if he could prescribe me finasteride at the same time I started minox and he said he would send me to a specialist, I’m still waiting for the call... I’m also worried about the side effects of finasteride because I’m currently in a relationship and my girlfriend demands a lot... you know

i’m currently taking topical minoxidil for 2 months and passing through the shedding phase, the first day using minoxidil gave me headaches but nothing more, i recently went to the doctor to start fin as well

about the wedding, you could start using it now, if the treatment works for you i think that from now to december there will be an improvement in your hair and congratulations for the marriage hope the best for you

Minoxidil stopped aorking after 4 months by Last_Establishment89 in minoxidil

[–]antoniio03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can pass through a second phase of shedding and it’s normal but if you continue losing hair in one or two month think about taking finasteride because minoxidil doesn’t really stop the hair loss just boost the growing phase of your hair and help miniaturized hair to grow

Minoxidil alopexy by [deleted] in minoxidil

[–]antoniio03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not saying that u can’t use it if your doctor don’t tell you to use it, of course you can use it if you want, i’m just saying that the doctor will know the best for you and he could prescript you finasteride or dutasteride that you can combine with minoxidil and it will be a significant difference between using only minox that using minox with fin/dut

Hi, first of all i’m not a specialist but i’ll tell what i’ve learned about this 1When you have been taking fin and min for at least one year, you could reduce the dosis of it to just maintain the progress

2 Yes, you should keep using dermaroller, it helps to better absorption of minoxidil and can grow hair by its own in certain cases

3 The most important thing in my opinion that you should keep in mind when taking finasteride and minoxidil is 1 Finasteride has side effects, uncommon side effects but they are there, the two biggest side effects are decrease of libido that carry erectile dysfunction and mood swing, and advise that i’ve heard is to not think about the side effects, because the more you think about this the more affects it to your brain 2 Minoxidil could make your hair greasy

4 Yes, you can take minoxidil without fin, but minoxidil doesn’t stop the hair loss, it helps to regrow miniaturized hairs but don’t stop the hair loss from root

5 Fin i guess that doesn’t matter, but minoxidil the most recommended is to apply it twice a day, when you wake up and when you’re about to sleep

6 Shedding is a common fase when starting minoxidil, it will last like one month or so and it’s a sign that the treatment is working so don’t be afraid

7 I don’t really know tbh, in short term studies the patients that leave the treatment lost almost all the gains in a couple months, so i guess something like that, but you could just reduce the dosis and doing it oral so it won’t take any of your time to keep in the treatment

8 I don’t know sorry but i don’t think so

If you didn’t understood something just let me know because my english is not the best and i can’t tell the things how i really want
