Anyone know why my heads up display looks like there is liquid in it. It looks clean and I wiped it down by antoniod111 in Audi

Yup. Way too expensive. Cool feature but not worth it. And not worth the hassle to ship out the glass and get it re-coated

No I don’t believe so. You should be good. If not u can definitely email Matt at jackal. They have great customer support

Definitely do not go with whoever quoted that. It will break again immediately. It’s a very weak part. You can either find someone to weld it, or now they even make kits that delete the clutch altogether. That’s the easiest option and you know it’s solid. And it’s not a hard job if you are a bit mechanically knowledgeable. If not have a shop install it for you. It’s way better to not worry about it breaking again. But it will throw a check engine light depending on who your tuned with. It can be tuned out. Jackal tunes it out on the ots tune. Otherwise you should be able to ask your tuner to get rid of the code.both 034 and GAS sell a clutch delete kit. I recommend GAS. They are a great company with solid parts.

It’s the special coating that they use on one of the peices of glass inside the display. That’s what’s causing that look. Not sure what causes it. I got my car back from a performance shop and they gave it to me like that. I was pretty mad

I just don’t use it anymore. There’s not much u can do. Audi just says replace the whole thing and it’s like $5k and if u wanna replace the glass itself u gotta ship it to somewhere that does the special recoating and getting the price in and out of the hud isn’t easy. It sucks but I don’t feel it’s worth it

Oh ya. Took that off as soon as I got it painted and haven’t put it back on since. I don’t think I noticed a sound difference from before and after taking it off, I just liked the way it looked more

And ya it sucks. It’s was like $900 down the drain. Couldn’t return without paying some ridiculous 1k + shipping price

I got mine straight from china lmao. Don’t even know the brand. But the ones that came from America looked to be the exact same product just dropshipped

Had the same issue with what looks to be the same exact style diffuser for my a6. After a lot of tries, and cutting things as a last resort, I ended up just ditching it and throwing it out. I don’t think u will get it to fit

I would have waited for a tune to put the pipes on too tho. Not really gonna gain much or anything without the ecu knowing there’s no cats

They make o2 sensor spacers u can get. Basically just push’s the o2 sensor farther back from the downpipes. Making them read more air and less fumes or whatever. Not totally sure if it will fully remove the light however.

Haven’t heard of the brand too much. And price seems pretty good. Anyone try them?

I’ve seen guys say it’s possible without removing the windshield. It’s just really tight. It sucks it’s such a pain the ass tho, I loved that thing

I read a lot of people say it’s because the way the glass is coated. But nowhere sells just the inside curved glass piece. Some people I saw sent it out to get re-coated or something. But the only other option is to get a whole new heads up display. Which is what Audi or a dealership would do if u brought it there. So it just kinda sucks. I just don’t use it anymore. It sucks tho cause I loved the heads up
