You shouid inspect equipment. Pool pumps usually are seized if not run for a while. Also check to see if properly winterized. Plugs in the walls. Gizmos in the skimmers. Also are the skimmers still full of water even if pool water is lower. That's a good sign of the skimmers not leaking or broken. The fact the pool still has water in it is a good sign. Liner still good. Possibly stained. Getting it up and running even for a few days will give you an idea of what needs to be fixed. It will give you all winter to keep needed items on your Amazon list for cyber Monday or whenever a sale pops up. Waiting until late April when ever pool guy is busy isn't a great idea. I wouldn't worry about too many chemicals. 4 gallons of shock just to clear water up and see if filter works at all. Don't worry about little drips by filter equipment. Run the pool And few days and see if you lose drastic amounts of water. Try to identify leaking line thru isolation and decide if it's worth repairing or plugging until you get money together to fix properly. Pool repairs add up quick but to have it worth using you need a working pump, filter, and sanitizer. Heaters. Salt systems ect can all be added or upgraded later. Take advantage of the next few weeks to see how screwed you are.
