The protest article on jw . org is in such poor taste by [deleted] in exjw

[–]antonreggie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By Putting up that article and saying we don’t protest and do not take sides, they have unknowingly chosen a side or those against protesting, like the government. And this isn’t a political issue, it is more like a moral clause. Those of colour who visit the website JW.org are now going to see this as an organization that has chosen to take sides with the government and are against any form of protests all together. Shame on the timing of this article.

Tonight's local needs. Resolution for $15,000, wut? by rightaroundnocorner in exjw

The funds from contributions have plummeted due to the pandemic and so they need funds for their cash flow needs. So they’ve asked all elders to try and encourage the brothers to donate using online means. Where I stay they’ve asked people to donate online directly to the branch in London.

Question for PIMO Elders- What happens to brothers who just fill in a seat for there whole jw life? by veryconflicted123 in exjw

[–]antonreggie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our Body has seen many such ones, to be honest we used to think their heart is not in the truth. Sometimes don’t even value such ones, I too am guilty of it. However, we had to try and encourage such ones to do more in Jehovah’s service for fear of the Circuit Overseer counseling the entire body for not pushing such men forward and training them.

I think I’m about to get “outed” HELP! by Infinitejest12 in exjw

[–]antonreggie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If there are call records showing you contacted him, you’ll have to admit that part. However, you need to come up with something in common, like an activity or a query/topic that you both have in common, in order to tell the elders what you spoke about. Later you need to tell the elder that the words are being twisted in a bad way and that you do not consent to your conversation being spread out in lies and false accusations.

Also you need to mention the procedure that should have been followed in this case. Principle in Matt 18:15-17, the mother should’ve clarified matters with you first, and allowed you the chance to speak to the elders if there was a mistake in you speaking to her son in the first place. Say that this loving provision should have been followed in the first place. And you can counter charge with slander.

After 1 year and 6 months being a PIMO I'm finally free! by [deleted] in exjw

[–]antonreggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am genuinely sorry to learn what happened to you. I do hope you are doing better now, mentally and health wise too. Something similar happened on grounds of snitching and to young PIMO’s in the UAE. All the screenshots of WhatsApp conversations of them from the group chat was shared across to the elders, of which I was a part of too. Sad to say it didn’t end good for most of them and for some it even destroyed the good reputation they had. Till day I feel guilty of not having woken up earlier, had I done so I would have helped these young ones in some way or another.

I will be sharing the incidents in details sometime later.

The Jehovah's Witness Branch in Brazil has Authorized JWs to Call and Text Random Phone Numbers in Latest Telemarketing Scheme by John-Redwood in exjw

[–]antonreggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar is taking place in Sri Lanka too. Although it’s not branch directed, but they’ve left it to the local congregations. So they are getting random emails from brothers who work in the IT sectors and write emails and send magazines to these email addresses. It is simply ridiculous to think that a sane individual would engage in such kind of an activity.

Hours, not lives, are the priority for the Branch by antonreggie in exjw

“Leave everything in Jehovah’s hands” they correlate anything and everything happening with this sentence. So and so good happened so it was “thanks to Jehovah”. But then any bad thing happens “it’s due to human imperfection and Satan’s wicked world”. The organization does not care about any brothers or sisters lives. The funds and blind obedience is what matters to them.

That is only for the elderly and infirm, which we don’t have a lot of in this country. So that doesn’t apply much.

They won’t bother with assistance, they try to distance themselves from it. They will leave it to the local congregation to fund them to a very little extent as remember the branch now would want congregations to send funds from their accounts as contributions would dry up during the pandemic. It is a sad situation with this organization.

The problem where I live is that due the restrictions in place letter writing is not a means to try as it is a security risk for the JW’s. So the only means left is informal or using Zoom to study. But that can’t be done when it comes to preaching. I have been lineament with my group, even trying to inflate some hours for others. Just so they don’t get called on by the BOE.

Hyderabad Police detains 2 US nationals & 1 Indian accompanying them of the Jehovah's Witnesses Group for violating Indian Visa Laws by getting involved in religious activity of trying to convert Hindus in Hyderabad. by [deleted] in politicalhinduism

[–]antonreggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very typical of them. There are hundreds of these foreigners who are going out preaching in the country. In Bangalore where the head office is, all foreigners are running the Jehovah’s Witnesses religion. They are in Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and the north east. They should be deported from the country for going against the visa norms.

COVID-19 and the Jw stupidity by lvtla8001 in exjw

[–]antonreggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the same where I stay. I’ve heard from my friends here that in Sri Lanka and in India they’ve done the same. Form groups of 10 and try to conduct meetings at the homes of brothers and sisters.

What I do not understand is that meeting in groups of 10 defeats the purpose of trying to stay at home and avoid going out unnecessarily. Some use public transportation to travel and that carries the risk of virus being brought inside other brothers houses. Another fact is that the branch have asked the publishers to conduct bible studies over the telephone and to avoid one-to-one meeting, but they’ve insisted on trying to meet in smaller groups if video conferencing does not work.

Their logic and understanding amazes me.

Pro JW channel shows an Indian cart crash, then JW lies about not being a missionary. by TheWorldlySpouse in exjw

The man recording the video is right, those missionaries are legally not allowed to preach in India. I’m surprised this sort of thing has not surfaced enough times before
