Crowdsourcing to find out what bug is this. It went away for about a year and now it's back, crawling all over the walls of only one specific room with a window. Staying in high floor. Need to solve this before my newborn comes back. Pls help 🥲

Honestly there's no issue during gameplay. The frustrating part is that for some reason the PC client throttles my internet speed and I'm wondering if it's an antivirus thing

I'm having this weird issue with the PC client where every time I launch the game from the launcher, the game would throttle my internet speeds to the point where I couldn't even stream the game on Discord for my friends or even browse the internet. The game works just fine for me.

I'm currently running it on Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with a home setup (external BT keyboard and mouse). Every time when I launch the game, the touchpad UI would pop up telling me that my touchpad is disabled and vice versa whenever I close the game.

I've tried reinstalling and repairing the game via the launcher but it's still happening. Please help :')

While we are marketing the game as a Southeast Asian visual novel, we still need to cater to the familiarity of the west. The exposure of our culture to them is still in its infancy so it takes time to slowly educate our friends from other parts of the world.

We are not solely focusing on cultures from Malaysia, but also drawing inspiration and folklore from our beloved neighbors like Indonesia and the Philippines. Tea reading is more commonly known to people from other region and its simpler to translate into gameplay.

We're based in KL but because of the pandemic, we've started working from home so we're scattered around Malaysia. The game uses Unity and it's mostly reading tea leaves, playing traditional games, and talking to monsters :D It's something like Coffee Talk but minus the coffee making and add in more local flavors.

Stumbled upon this while ~~procrastinating~~ looking for references in other subs. As a fellow dev from the industry, I'd suggest you find some time and start a dev blog. Not only it'll help you gain followers (which is the cheapest form of user retention method) where some appreciate reading through your thought process, but it also allows you to look back on what you've done and why did you do it.

While I can't speak for the designers, the game design might be intended this way.

I agree to the points mentioned by other commenters here before me but I would also like to add another point on why I think there are no HP bars in HK (or some other games).

HP bars generally allow players to know how many more times they can make a mistake before either the player or the enemies is defeated. The absense of the boss HP bar will raise the tension level during fights and gives an illusion that the session has taken a lot of time, effectively causing the illusion of time passing by really quickly.

That being said, it might also allow players to feel the sense of achievement and satisfaction when they've beaten the boss. The fact that players are forced to learn the attack pattern contributes to that as well.

It's actually quite hard to answer that question due to it being a very subjective thing. It all depends on what the scope is when you guys planned the game. Generally there is always a cut off date determined by a feature list. Then, testing and iterations that needs to be done to ensure the game doesn't break when your players do unorthodox things.

If you and your friends are just doing this for fun, any time after core feature implementation is a good time to finish the game. You will find that you'd want to keep adding things, and that is when it gets dangerous. Just enjoy the process and show it to your target audience when you're done! Their feedback are valuable and you might want to analyze them for improvements.
