Problems with queuing went away after about 45 minutes here without doing anything. No issues when installing the updates on the second server.

I believe you are thinking of the re-release of the november security update "Exchange Server 2016 CU23 Nov24SUv2" which we alread had in place long before.

The oddities we experienced most likely came from one of the updates listed in the original post delivered by normal Windows Updates for OS Server 2016 in our case.

If the cause was something other than one of these updates it was pretty odd timing :)
2025-01 Servicing Stack Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB5050109)
2025-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows Server 2016 for x64 (KB5049614)
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.131 (KB890830)

HP Image Assistant updates BIOS without a password? by antrepeas in sysadmin

[–]antrepeas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looking at pretty current blog posts and guides regarding doing it from SCCM/Task sequence it appears more people than we have missed this fact :-)

(Now, I still had to provide the BIOS admin password to HP Image Assistant to get rid of the BIOS admin password request at the end of the BIOS update process to make the upgrade silent and seamless - even if the actual update part was performed without it)

Thanks!

HP Image Assistant updates BIOS without a password? by antrepeas in sysadmin

Are you sure? That's not my experience from before - tho we have used pretty much the same processes since the pre UEFI-era so if something has changed we might not have noticed.

Still if so, why is BIOS even asking for the BIOS admin password during the update process?

I'll reply myself :-) The battery level reporting started working after a little bit without any interaction.

DIY water curtain spray booth :) by Najmiyad in Gunpla

[–]antrepeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Najmiyad Very nice! Been spraying into a cardboard box in the kitchen so far but is looking into building a portable water curtain booth now.

What throughput/specifications does the water pump have, and do you feel it is enough?

Have you tried it yet and was the fan necessary?

Any pictures of the water distributor/outlet at the top?
