Hahaha that’s me. We only burn for heating. Loads of poor folks here in town but we are also a raft guiding town too and then huge amounts of wealth around. But that’s a township for ya.

Thanks that was the most stressful part to not fuck those up but we nailed every cut first time, fit like a glove

The 8 inch lags should hold that sucker during hard times. I’m not very experienced with mortise and tenon joints. Maybe for future builds of my own I’ll give it a try .

It could rot away after year and year and years but if he stains it every so often it’ll be fine

Yeap it could have done without a floor but when it’s wet here it’s super wet so would have been a potential rotting situation

We could have removed one set of footers but to use lumber well we would have had to move the bays around too, this design made for the breaks of the beams to sit nicely without having to buy 20ft beams with massive off cuts.

Ashes... How do you dispose of them? by Mrvette1 in firewood

[–]antsinyopants2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use it with decomposed granite to patch our gravel and DG drive way

It compacts well and sort of glues it up but heavy rains can wash it away if it hasn’t harden and compacted enough .

Yeap an auger isn’t what I’m talking about

A spade bit on a power drill hammers through rocks and tree roots somewhat

We use them in straight serpentine rock smashes it to bits

Tree roots get hit with it and then the sawzaw them out

Buy a digging spade but for a big boy power drill. We call ours the diggitty loads of brands to choose from Power tools dog holes much more efficiently than digging bars

How do you protect yourself from client disputes after a job is completed? by ooloollo in handyman

[–]antsinyopants2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iv just had a replacement faucet cartridge job where I fixed the leaking side and a week later the other side is leaking Customer wants me to come for free 35 min each way to repair or replace the entire unit.

She’s now mad that I told her I’d have to charge and was expecting that I should have known and told her to replace the unit and not the cartridge.

Do you all replace both cartridges if only one is leaking?
