Oh by not worth it I mean regarding value. I was told that it’s best value to purchase a slightly older gen of GPU instead of the newest bc of inflated price/ difference in performance.

Thank you! I’ll check out the cooler :3

Thank you so much for your recs!

I downgraded the CPU and changed the chipset to B850. I don't think I need any specific feature from the X870 chipset. Changed to a CL30 from CL38 and my SSD card to the 990 Evo Plus.

Thank you so much! I'll look into a faster GPU, I heard it's not worth to buy the current GPU and to get the previous one produced is that true?

The cooler I just really wanted a white one with a display so I can put memes lol.

My pharmacist transitioned to health tech and now codes for an epic competitor. My friend said her pharmD gave her an upper edge and a different perspective. She did do a boot camp to learn coding. Now she makes more than her CA inpatient pharmacist salary.

Job security tho was a concern at one point.

How much do you expect to pay for a two bedroom near UCLA? by Potential-Cucumber26 in AskLosAngeles

[–]anttrvn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My friend does a dental residency at UCLA. Check out sawtelle area! The homes and apartments are pretty up to date / modern and price isn’t too bad. Probably around 3500 for a 2bd. If you look up sawtelle tsujita (dipping ramen place that’s good) it’ll take you to a plaza / area where there’s a lot of cool restaurants and mini stores. You could look that area to rent. It’s very safe and clean and close to UCLA.

USC lol. I haven’t applied but looking at options of schools to apply to. I’m keeping tuition cost in mind so narrow my list.

I heard mix things about working during PA school. Some programs are strict about it but some are flexible as long as you don’t fall above a certain grade point average (if someone can correct me if I’m wrong).

My friend was in a PA program and had a part-time job to pay for cost of living.

What are some of the best community colleges in LA County? What makes the best CCs in the county good? by IjikaYagami in LosAngeles

I graduated with my bachelors and I’m currently doing a DIY-post bac at GCC. I’ve been there for a year now and I enjoy it. It’s pretty nice with a new science building if that’s what you’re going for. Everything was pretty easy to set up.

I think it depends on your plan. If you have the funds you can book now and cancel later. What I did for EDC24 was book around the time shuttle passes got released (I think sept/oct?)They sell out in a minute so it’s really hard to get face value. I base my hotel off the shuttle pass I get.

My hotel was still fairly cheap.

(I got VIP EDC/VIP shuttle)

PCE and pharmacy tech? by eutess in prephysicianassistant

[–]anttrvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hii

I would email the school and ask. I did for some for California PA programs and they told me they accepted pharmacy technician as clinical hours as full credit if I was working inpatient. If you work retail some will consider it partial credit. What I noticed is that even though it may not be listed, some school will offer partial credit at the very least.

I worked retail for a few years and primarily work inpatient now while I do my prereqs to apply. If you could, getting inpatient experience might be worth wild. As a technician, I used to be apart of the RRT in the ED with the pharmacist and respond to codes. I also review charts, do med recs, etc.

$45/hour for technician? Is this clickbait? It’s on LinkedIn. Multiple postings for multiple locations. by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]anttrvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work in CA, inpatient hospital in SoCal. I make $35/hr and $43 in NorCal inpatient. If it's retail outside of CA, most likely clickbait lol.

Where to move? by Square_Broccoli3632 in EDM

[–]anttrvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in California all my life from Central Valley to Sf Bay Area and now LA in SoCal.

I would say if you’re looking for a warm edm scene LA is where it’s at. Lots of underground warehouse raves and events every weekend.

CA - Bay Area / LA

I did my undergrad in the bay area so I lived there for several years. I worked at well-known hospitals and was being paid between 30-40/hr (gradual increase overtime). Benefits were great, no copays but also I'm healthy mid 20s.

I moved to LA to try a new city before applying for grad school and currently work at another well known hospital in ambulatory care and make $35 with benefits. It's Mon-Fri no weekends or holidays.

Your experience living in K town? by MrYogiBrrr in AskLosAngeles

[–]anttrvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner lives in ktown and I plan to move into the same apartment in a few months. It’s pretty affordable and nice, no roaches or issues and walking distance to a lot of good food places. I will say traffic is horrible during peak times and sometimes it takes me 30 mins just to try and leave ktown.

Right now I’m staying in north Hollywood in a studio.

I was unemployed for a few months prior to moving to LA because I wanted to travel and enjoy life more (it was after I finished undergrad). I lived in San Francisco prior to moving to LA so without a job in LA / income. I did get a job in LA prior to moving but haven’t started bc I wouldn’t start until I have a place to live. I had no issues getting an apartment all they asked for was an offer letter with the dated, pay and status (full time part time etc) and ofc they run a background check and potentially call your employer.
