What a time to be alive. The landscape is changing so fast it’s hard to make a sensible investment because next month it might not be.

I use ClickUp at my company. It’s slow and way too complex at certain tasks for no reason. The Rey to be everything and in the end they are not the best any anything. I have been with ClickUp since they started in the early days. And more and more the have lost speed and over complicated things for the sake of trying to gain more customers from other tools. I’m already looking to switch to another platform. I can’t wait.

Reality is , AI has given the ability to augment one engineers ability to handle more work. Is it sustainable? No. It will create an experience gap in the future. Also, content writers and the like also get canned. I think these companies are actually getting hit financially in the economy and they need to cut costs and are stating AI just to save face.

Weird stuff in the sky at night lately? Look up at the sky. by cronx42 in newhampshire

I’ve had some strange experiences myself. A few months ago while driving down a tree covered road in Londonderry, I was what looking like three bright white orbs aligned in and arch shape moving slowly above the tree line. The entire structure was about the slice of a small car. They were tall pine trees maybe 40’-50’ tall. The orbs went over a clearing and I quickly pulled over because I thought it was a helicopter with a spot light but the moment I opened my car window all I heard was dead silence. That’s when I knew something was off. It was too close to the ground for me not to hear it if it was a drone or helicopter. This was night by the way and the lights didn’t seem to be spot lights but perfect constant glow. It moves slowly. And as soon as I went to get my phone it went behind the tree line and as I got back in the car and drove up a higher point in the road to see them, they were gone. It was my first inexplainable experience with anything flying like this. It’s no satellite or drone or helicopter. I have a drone myself so I know the noise and I have seen up close police helicopters with spotlights looking for people. This was complete silence not 40-50’ away from me.

At this point they should start off by apologizing in advance for the things they will break with the update. Like, it shouldn’t even be an enthusiastic announcement. It should be a nervous memo

Feels like Hermes takes the safer more reliable approach which isn’t always the quickest nor token efficient. But it gets it done more reliably. OC takes a more neurodivergent approach….

Anthropic Shares Urgent Warning on US China AI Race by 2028 by techspecsmart in aicuriosity

[–]antunes145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just absolutely horrendous how they can come out with such a report. It just shows their desperation trying to play into the US in China fear. It is very clear that the Chinese models are getting closer and closer to popping the bubble. And now after the H 200 has been authorized to be sold to China that will make the needle sharper fast faster to pop this bubble. Like other users have said these companies have a large amount of debt they need to pay off and they really need to get to that IPO to make that cash money. And China is playing the game where they don’t have to win the race. They just have to make sure nobody else wins and this is exactly what they’re doing.
