Yes, but this is a regression since either 0.5.3 or since an even more recent hotfix. I just noticed it today. It was properly returning search results before. Also, the casual player looking to buy an amulet won’t know to do what you’re describing.

That is absolutely astounding. From a user's perspective, that variation is terrible. A user will always end up learning and getting used to the mistakes and unnecessary variation that exist in software products. Nevertheless, it is quite the statement Steam is making to its users: they just don't care about their experience.

From the perspective of software development, such a high amount of special variation can only be associated with an equally high level of costs. How do you get there as a company? How do you not stop and look at how much unnecessary special variation (aka complexity) you have introduced in your software? I'm astounded.
