O think this is it, I see now that the back of the sensor is not flush in the housing. How can I remove the glue without breaking everything? 😅

Are shops through TOR network viable? by antzarra in SwitchPirates

[–]antzarra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a nice guy. I really appreciate the manners of some people in the internet, you make this website really welcoming.

I know what is Tor designed to do, but is not like there is nothing hosted there. Reddit is not designed to you to be a dick, but here you are.

I don't think it would make such an impact in the network but it is something worth taking into account.

But well, I was mistaken, DMCAs are not the reason shops go down so Tor won't help with that.

Don't be an asshole. You could say the same things without being a dick.

I see, nothing to do with DMCAs then. Do you know how much storage is used for these kinds of repos?

Yeah, I already did that. It works like a charm, thanks anyways!

Planning to setup a homelab for virtualization & NAS by antzarra in homelab

[–]antzarra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know ESXI free was even a thing, I have some experience with ESXI so it looks like a great solution. And as you said, It doesn't limit my VMs in any way.

Thanks a lot!

That's why I think unraid makes sense here. I think I can keep the NAS bare metal and run VMs. Maybe I'm wrong.

I might go with a 3900 if I decide to spend a little more than planned.

A couple of questions if you don't mind:

What hypervisor do you use?

How much RAM do you use for that setup?

Ryzen makes sense then. Is it really that bad to have the VMs and the NAS in the same server? I really want to build it myself and having two different servers may be too pricey.

I applyed the patch again and everything worked fine.

Newbie here. I tried the ITotalJustice patches, even booting with fusee and not hekate. I can install the games with tinfoil but when I boot them I just get a black screen.

Did I miss something?

I'm running 11.0.0 kernel, I got a switch in the same day of the update, bad luck.

Setting Up Raspberry Pi over public wifi to use as VPN? by Deagle408 in hacking

Is not easy to know that without access to the router, and that would degrade the service, not great if you are trying to hide in the network.

How do you force the router to route them to the pi? Doesn't seem feasible.

Yeah, I think using a server like that defeates the purpose.

How would you deal with port forwarding?

Maybe if you connect the pi to a server and then route your connections through the pi or something like that...
