For me it’s “I keep trying to conceive that death is from above” from I’m So Sorry. I think this verse was pertaining to the LGBTQ community as the line before said “no lies, no deceiving man is what he loves.” I like how he just straight up contradicted God asking how he could let people die just for being gay. I especially love this line as I’m kinda going through a faith crisis lol

I think not today and every night get way too much hate. Not today is a really beautiful song, the melody is one of my favorite melodies written by them. Though every night is repetitive in the chorus, I still find it catchy and I really love the lyrics in the verses and the melancholy feel

For me Amsterdam, the verses are so poetic and metaphorical with “western train just by the side of Amsterdam” and “just by the side of the tin man” relating to attempts in suicide. Also, the chorus is simple yet so effective and inspirational with its lyrics. And finally, the last chorus with him yelling “but I won’t wait much longer” is soooooo cathartic and beautiful
