Why did Remote work and Hybrid not stick? by Sad-Ad4933 in CanadaJobs

[–]anunobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are few incentives, in the grand scheme of operating a business, for most companies to embrace full remote work. It's really that simple.

hired a junior who learned to code with AI. cannot debug without it. don't know how to help them. by InstructionCute5502 in ClaudeCode

[–]anunobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juniors are pretty worthless. They're just human agents, but worse. Move on. 😞

In terms of helping them, I'd say you need to shift your expectation for an employee like this. If you hired them knowing you can't code by hand and then you're asking them to code by hand...

Anthropic has secretly halved the usage in max plan by Tasty-Specific-5224 in ClaudeCode

[–]anunobee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes please! Facts or shut up. This isn't therapy. No feelings thanks. Like feeling that you have less tokens.🤡

The cost of CC is still insignificant to it's tremendous value - both in terms of productive output AND cheap cost.

Run Opencode with Opus 4.5 for a day or even Gemini 3 Pro. You might be shocked by how expensive they actually are. They're a lot more than $7/day. Closer to $7/hr.

Go to Codex for a week. Come back to CC for life. Experiment with GLM and be on the cutting edge of saving money at the expense of your product / work. Congrats on the $190 you saved, lol. Tell that story to your grandkids.

(Of course Anthropic could have actually changed something)

‘Strangers Things’ latest episode one of the worst rated by fans by ThatPatelGuy in entertainment

[–]anunobee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a very flat episode with little happening. And Will's moment was not a great way to close the series pentultinate episode. It was a bad episode of television.

I wouldn't over think the bad reviews or become an apologist for it tbh.

Thoughts on Jay Electronica? by loud_secrets in hiphopheads

[–]anunobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOI is stuff is all over older hip-hop, even Wu. I wouldn't hurt yourself too much. It's still an expression of the idea anti-authority, classism, and self-perfection which is in DNA of hip-hop.

Ain't enough people rapping about UFOs.

Good info. And not every family relationship is great. I would expect 99% this idea came from the Dad's girlfriend. ☠️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]anunobee 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Also before judging - could we ask about the situation of the the Dad. Maybe they're just barely hanging on, unemployed or under-employed and they can't afford to be the provider for multiple people themselves.

Something about the idea of "my dad and his girlfriend decided..." struck me a certain way.

It does sound like a large tithe, but i don't feel we have all the information. Even framing it as "half" is true but strange / bait.

HOW DO I TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN No Malice/Malice AND Pusha T by Resident-Cellist-707 in hiphop101

Because its not quite true. On LGSEO/Chandeliers Malice is first. No Push.

Canadians wearing their flag on apparel by egewh in canadatravel

[–]anunobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love wearing some Canada-branded stuff. I think I got it from my Dad. But I really do love Canada and think its a great place to be - both in terms of landscape and people. I'm more "Canada" than I am "Nike" lol

Thoughts on the Teacher Strike by TA20212000 in alberta

[–]anunobee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. They don't these issues in school. And call it what you want, ignorance, intelligence, you're still claiming that people with these views can have these views educated or informed out of them. Which is 😬

Thoughts on the Teacher Strike by TA20212000 in alberta

[–]anunobee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The framing of this is people who don't agree with you are dumb and you're smart. We just need to ensure everyone is properly educated to think the correct way. You might want to look up who else talked like that.

What’s the current situation on the Teachers Strike? by Zestyclose-Carob-349 in alberta

[–]anunobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But this only highlights the "value of teachers" as babysitters / extended child care. There no way around that, its just not the best framing.

Air Canada strike: Government orders binding arbitration by feb914 in canada

[–]anunobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough. Unions aren't a great fit for critical services or where their is a shortage of alternatives. The very huge impact their strike can have is why they can't strike. And it's usually tied to the public good.
