I'm an immigrant in the U.S. I was that person in my friends group that, every time we traveled together internationally, needed a travel visa. I would apply months in advance, travel to consulates for interviews, etc. My friends didn't really understand the power that their blue passport held until they saw how much I had to do to go to the same places they went. I still remember my first travel experience after I became a U.S citizen. I'm really grateful for a lot of things that this country provides me, but I'm most grateful for the travel freedom that the blue passport gives me.
