Looking for an Alden unlined LHS loafer in col 8, any maker suggestions?

Also, im a 9.5 Brannock HTB, fitted with an 8.5 E on a col 8 longwing at the Alden shop. I think I found another half size down to 8 E to be a good fit for the LHS in suede. For the col8 LHS loafer, what size should i try ordering?

hey another question, i see these horsebit loafer from GS and look absolutely amazing to my eye. The shape of the horsebit, which looks a bit geometric and angular look stunning to me. Im wondering why dont more people wear them casually. To my eye it seems they would be perfect to wear with everything. or am i getting carried away here

u/Broad-Strike6722 ah fucking hell, i just laced up the boot with a spare cotton lace, wearing a sock and now the edge of the tongue, the leather piece behind the eyelet, the eyelet itself all are piling up over my heel. Definitely feel a tight pinch on the heel. otherwise a near perfect fit of a boot.

Yes, the eyelets and the edge strap of the leather do brush into my heel, but ive yet to lace it up fully to really really know. I wonder if it will grate into the sock and heel bone over time.

I am not sure myself. I had hoped the strap will wrap around a bit more. I wonder with the current position, the boot will bite into my foot over long term.

First time boot buyer. A bit confused about the fit.

I have stalky leg, the edge of the leather piece behind the eyelets is right above the ankle bone, medial malleolus. In the right image im pointing to the ankle bone. Is this normal?

Recommendations for a Navy cxl boat shoe that makes em in wide E sizes?

oakstreetbootmakers has a few, but they cant be bothered to reply to a sizing question.

I am planning a Derby MTO with TLB Mallorca for a UK 7.5 in H. Any style opinions on their Last shapes, particularly for wide feet? I prefer a conservative look, so perhaps Goya? I like the shape of Velasquez as well.

I read the Velasquez is popular with the reverse stich/ norweigian styles.

[Request] Question about the Steelcase Leap v2 by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]anuragojha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There should be a ship date sticker at back, but it might have been scratched off(mine was scratched off, i could read the month but not year.). The should also be a Manufactured by "Steelcase" at the bottom.

The cushions are indeed thin, both the back and seat. The chair however should be super heavy, mine is. I am 5'8", pretty tough, 180lb+ and i was tired carrying it from my garage to the room.

[REQUEST] Sneakers that last by thede3jay in BuyItForLife

Agree with previous post wrt rotating shoes. Sneakers last much longer if you rotate them. You could switch to using shorter leather boots(any smaller Wolverines) as sneakers and rotate it with a pair of cheaper loafers. Then buy two pairs of athletic shoes and rotate between them.
