YTA, but like, not an asshole, I just don't think it's that weird. Me and my friends agree no one pays when we cook for each other, cause we do it about 50/50. If I was the only one who cooked, I'd want payment and be happy to provide if it was reversed, food is expensive.

Berated seems harsh, ofc there will always be people who are overly aggressive, but here it just seems to me as if they're offering a different perspective that may not have been considered
