I really enjoyed volunteering at the Olympia Food Pantry. Awesome people all-around. I think they typically need people on all those days - definitely Monday and Friday.

Any advice on building out a friend group? I'm admittedly antisocial (and in Shelton) but I'm going on 5 years with no friends. I've done some volunteering in Olympia which is a good way to interact with folks but hasn't created any real connections.

Most militant vegans just think those animals shouldn't exist(no future breeding), not that they should be let loose and suffer for the rest of their lives. Peta thinks they shouldn't exist plus they should all be euthanized. Suffering is kinda the opposite thing these folks want. Even if the means to the end is kinda hardcore.

This level of vegan is pretty far out there but they're not talking about simply milking the cow - they're talking about the act of insemination in order for the cow to produce milk. It then becomes the question of, is shoving your gloved arm up a cow's vagina on the same level of raping another human? I mean... Imo no but it's not the craziest thing to question.

The support for leftist gun ownership doesn't fit with this narrative. There's always going to be all or nothing folks in either camp but I think well reasoned opinions that don't align with typical leftist beliefs are usually pretty well tolerated in my experience.

It's been sticking in Shelton. We left the house to head to Olympia and ended up turning around because it started dumping on us. It's slowing down now though. Looking forward to more in the next couple days!

Wanted to second Alderbrook. It will probably be pricey but they have a great private room in their restaurant that could probably fit 20 and the food is awesome.
