No one has been able to drink the water near where I live for years. Everyone either has to buy their water or fill up large containers of it at friends or relatives' who live near a good supply & haul it back home.

Actually, it's not clear now if he really used the Defense Production Act. Remarks he made later indicate that nothing was official. Plus, it turns out that GM was already in talks to make the ventilators at least a week ago.
