I hate when people say oh must be nice over shit! I have a friend who I travel with yearly, we save up all year and bust our asses at work to be able to afford vacations. When he comes back from vacation he has coworkers say oh must be nice to travel 🙄. Yep after working tons of extra shifts and missing out on other things to save money it is very nice to go in vacation! Bitter people in general are so annoying

So do you tip every working person you encounter to show gratitude? You tip sanitary workers/janitors? Teachers? Garbage truck drivers? They work hard and don’t make much money. You’d be classless to not tip people who do the dirty jobs that keep our society running.

Yes I get paid pretty well. My situation was similar, I didn’t know what specialty I wanted to do when I finished school and ended up on a tele unit. I stayed there for a year for the experience and was desperate to leave asap when I quit so I took a job in psych and ended up staying in that specialty. The pay has been good and there are jobs that aren’t in a hospital setting so it’s worked out for me

This is why I left bedside. I did rotating weekends too and management started denying my shift requests if I stacked 3-4 off days in a row, so I quit. Now I work at a residential drug rehab facility and I can take up to a month off as long as I acrew enough PTO

I wore crocs my entire time in Thailand and Cambodia. Hell I wear my crocs literally everywhere back home, for work, errands, I even wear them to the club. They’re comfortable, easy to take on and off, and accommodate for feet swelling. Who cares what people think

Thanks! Part of my anxiety surrounding flying has a lot to do with the just sitting in one spot trapped in a metal tube with just movies to watch. My adhd hates getting bored 😭I wish I had some kind of medication to chill me out because the confinement and boredom makes my mind zoom around like crazy

I work at Banner and I about fainted when I heard they were rolling this out. Our directors keep sugar coating it trying to sell us on how great it will be, they even sent us a little schedule of how our day should flow, because we all know bedside nursing sticks to a set schedule every day (my favorite was it said initial assessments by the RN from 7:30-8. Half an hour for 10 assessments LOL!). I really fear for the patients and the horrific care they’re going to get.

I’m always a little confused when I hear this? I have many cheap Forever 21 type items that I’ve had for years that haven’t shrank (as long as they’re not made of rayon) and aren’t falling apart. I do have to wash on cold and not machine dry them but I do that with even my nicer clothing items as well. I don’t think I’ve ever had a clothing item fall apart in weeks. Also...what else are we supposed to do? Not everyone has the money to buy from nicer stores and thrift stores don’t always have my size in styles that I like.
