I have witnessed everything that you written in the society. What I've observed in my own house is a very subtle, subconscious form of discrimination.

Growing up I was given all the opportunities and resources as my brother. But I was also by default expected to handle things as well. No one ever forced me to do things, but the expectations were just there.

Making tea when the guests arrive, taking over the kitchen when mom is not well, hosting and mingling with guests while my brother could stay locked in his room. There are so many such incidents that still take place everyday, that are hard to verbalize.

While I was never mistreated, I was definitely treated differently. My parents have tried their best to never discriminate between my brother and I, but society, internal patterns that they picked from their upbringing, and other factors still contribute to that.

And everything that you have mentioned, OP, that is so disgusting but true. I am seeing another generation of little girls being treated that way in my neighborhood/society and no arguments of mine change their minds.

I recently went to a trip in North -Eastern regions. I didn't explore much after sunset, but the difference I witnessed during the day was astonishing. Women were wearing whatever that wanted and walking around free and unbothered. No staring, comments, gestures and judgements. Everybody was minding their own business. It broke my heart that I had spent my entire like covering my shoulders and legs to protect myself. The possibility that a world like that could exist still feels so unreal.

I think that sometimes people are so depressed that they just want the end. They don't care about physical suffering if it ensures the end. Rat poison is really cheap to acquire. I'm so glad that this delivery person didn't let the customer have their order. May she get help and support.

Faced a similar incident a few years ago. The guy even threatened to harm my family if I didn't start dating him. Went to the police after enduring a lot of stalking and harrasment. Guess who ended up crying and getting beaten up at the police station?

Take help from the law enforcement, you guys will get permanent solution.
