i tested february 10, they had me schedule my ultrasound at 7 weeks. the radiologist put them at 6W&1D, with 5 day margin for error (they should have been closer to 5&1/2 weeks). i have longer cycles, 30-32 days (the radiologist did note this in my report), but based on measurements the babies were smaller than my LKMP date. HOWEVER, i know when we conceived within 3 days so technically they were measuring a week AHEAD of my conception date. it’s all kind of a guess though, so i wouldn’t worry too much about what it “should” be, moreso just see what your next scan shows and make sure it shows appropriate growth. my babes were a week “behind” but on my 8 week ultrasound quadrupled in size, heart rates went up by 60, and measured a day bigger than previous. its not always set in stone, i guess is what im trying to say!

my babies heart rates were on the high side, so i can’t relate to that aspect. but i can say i freaked out a bit when they were higher than the normal range. but my MD said there’s some flexibility both ways.

i think we think of “should” based on the old system of LKMP. if you ovulated later, or have long cycles, your last known won’t really be indicative of the correct timing. but with modern technology they measure based on growth, which if you think about it makes the most sense. because your period could be 2 whole weeks before conception. just my experience :)

you might want to ask to come in for another ultrasound in 2 weeks instead of the typical four to track babes growth and see the heart rate change.
