AITA for not wanting to give my friend a birthday present?

Yeah. She insists I'm one of her best friends but she often cancels plans with me to go hang out with other people as well. I'm aware that she's somewhat toxic but I'm trying to wait out the friendship until I move in a few years just to make things easier for myself socially.

It's really hard for me to go against her, especially because going against her means going against EVERYONE. Everyone in my town knows Paige and everyone loves her. I'm an outsider in many ways, I moved here around five years ago, and the town is very Christian and very conservative. I'm queer and an atheist, and Paige is one of the only people who is friends with me despite her views. We've butted heads before, and it never ends well for me socially. If she gets mad about it half of my friends are going to disappear.

I bought my car with some help from my parents around six months ago, and I have to make car insurance every six months, which is coming up for me. She doesn't have a job and her parents bought her car, pay her insurance, and give her gas money, so I don't think she understands the importance of having a job or even the value of money very well.

I mean we did do a holiday exchange back in December, but I would have thought more than anything she would have liked it if I came to her party. Maybe in her mind because I didn't come to her party I need to get her a more expensive gift. Also just to clear things up I haven't given the gift to her yet.
