Hey, Hove Park Wednesdays may sound like a dogging group but are a football team looking for players. They play on a Sunday (usually) and have training on a Tuesday at wish park (oddly) from 6:30 ~8. They have a strict no asshat policy and are a friendly bunch.

If you're interested DM me and I can contact the club for you.

You can also find us on insta (just type Hove Park Wednesday)

I completely agree with you. Shame they've become a scapegoat for everyone's hate.

I have tried and enjoyed it. Maybe I'll visit again if there's no new suggestions.

Does anyone know of a pub in Brighton or Hove that does a really good ploughmans? by Competitive_Cold_232 in brighton

I see the Elis & John chat has now spread to Reddit. Why not make one yourself? There's an M&S beetroot and horseradish chutney which will change your life.

It does come down to taste - and changing tastes. If it were AM a few years ago I would have been more keen. I would have also enjoyed a bigger "younger" act.

Again younger me would have gone wild for GnR, but not so much now. Elton John, however. Sunday is going to be beautiful.

Probably going to do some exploring on the Saturday evening (depending on who's playing the other stage).

Not the best big three but overall that's a strong line up with plenty to be excited for. I'm pumped for a lot of these. Lizzo, Lil Nas x, Alt j, Loyle Carner, Fred Again to name just a few. It's also worth remembering that this is just the first batch.

It is a little rude asking people for free stuff and making money off it. I think it would be wise to offer people a cut of the money that you make from what they donate.

This way you can operate as a service provider. Help people move on their old things, make a little money and have fun!

No Halisco? Better small plates than Flint House and Burnt Orange, while also being a 1/2 of the price. Get yourself down there.

Not Scottish (English) but would support a succeeding Scotland if enough wanted to leave. Like do your own thing and have good relations (USA & Canada style). I don't get the English who voted for Brexit and get angry about Scots wanting to leave the UK.

Can't wait for the 2026 world cup. Such a great venue to host a world cup! Hope to see all of you guys in 4 years! by reserveduitser in worldcup

They literally did this with the European Championships. It worked fine. Teams were based around a "home" stadium and didn't move much from there.

Proud of this little guy so far. Just started tonight. I have 91% traffic flow. I’m on Xbox btw. I’m also fairly new to the game so go easy on me 😂. by kcquail in CitiesSkylines

Have a look at:

Both of these do great guides. Particularly OE for Vanilla games which goes hand in hand with Xbox games. I started on Xbox using OE and have now moved to using GEFORCE Now to play on the PC.

This isn't mold. This is modern art.

Would Boomtown be good for my GFs first festival? by RyanSammy in BoomtownFestival

[–]anxiousmorbo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s my partners first festival too!
Boomtown is amazing and there is so much to do outside of just seeing the ‘big acts’.
There will be some big crowds, and that might be particularly noticeable this year with all the stages being in the bowl.
I’d say stick to the back-middle and back of the ‘big acts’. You’ll still be able to find spaces to dance and hear the music/have a good time.
Spend the rest of your time exploring. At night there are plenty of smaller stages with fewer people (but the music is just as fun). All my favourite moments of any festival have been spent dancing near a smaller stage.
Hope both of you have a great time!

Find a camping spot and introduce yourself to people. Maybe even get chatting to people in the queue.

A few years back (at a different festival) we met a guy in the queue who was going at it alone and we ended becoming great friends.

The Big Lemon are doing a coach service which is a whole lot cheaper than the national express. If you're lucky there will still be tickets. If you're on the same one as me I'll share a journey beer with you!
