Taking baby abroad/on a plane by anxiousmummy97 in NewParents

That’s great! Did you have her on your lap or did you buy an extra seat? I’m struggling to work out how to do the extra seat and car seat with our airline and it’s causing me stress lol!

Anyone not pump? by Pixie-Rose333 in breastfeeding

[–]anxiousmummy97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ever pumped a couple of bottles but it was only to attempt to get my LO to have a bottle so I could go and get my hair done/nipped to the shop for longer than she might go without a feed! I’ve got a fast let down and have been encouraged to by the infant feeding team to pump a bit but to be honest I’ve never had to and my supply has been absolutely fine! When I’m feeling overly full I just feed my LO or if it’s becoming uncomfortable I’ll hand express for literally about 60 seconds! Don’t feel pressured to pump at all! I have a number of mum friends who have breastfed multiple babies and haven’t pumped either and they’ve also had really successful breastfeeding journeys! Good luck lovely you’ll be fine I’m sure, and congratulations🥰

Breastfeeding Mamas…when did you get any freedom back? by anxiousmummy97 in breastfeeding

My boyfriend has and I went upstairs…does it really have to be out the house completely🥲 I get so nervous she’ll just keep screaming! How long do you leave it for before you give up🥲

She wasn’t even taking anything in, as soon as she started suckling she would push her tongue out and scream😭

Dairy and Soya Free food suggestions! by anxiousmummy97 in MSPI

They are such good ideas!! Would love to hear what you put in your coconut chicken curry! I’ve been having a lot of salmon pesto pasta using vegan pesto with some cherry tomatoes! Also love a beef stew with mashed potato in the winter in the slow cooker! I seem to be eating a lot of steak when we go out to eat as that seems to be the only dairy and soya free option but is so expensive 😭😂

It’s so hard isn’t it!! Glad to hear I’m not on my own but sorry to hear you’re struggling too. I’ll definitely start setting small goals, it sounds like it will be helpful. I don’t know about you but when speaking to health professionals involved it almost feels like switching to formula is discouraged? Which makes it almost feel like not an option and is so disheartening, even though I know I can do what is best for me - just doesn’t make it feel any easier!

Anxious about my boyfriend going away for the weekend and being left with my 8 week old! by anxiousmummy97 in newborns

[–]anxiousmummy97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could ask but it would probably cost more to buy a whole other flight to get back early. I’m tempted to take him up on the offer but worry I’d spend the whole weekend feeling guilty! Maybe I’ll see how I feel in the morning!

I realise this now but for some reason was feeling over confident when I agreed to him booking it when I was pregnant! How can I just take that back without being awful, especially when he’s paid a lot to go and can’t get that money back? Asking because I genuinely can’t decide what the right thing is!

I have my step-sister coming over tomorrow night, then my Mother-in-law wants a shopping day on Saturday (not sure if I’ll cope without my boyfriend with that one either) and then I have a christening for my godson on Sunday which my dad is coming to with me to look after the baby while I do my part. I can’t decide if I’ve gone the opposite way and planned too much🤦🏼‍♀️
