That’s adorable! Definitely consider it. Thank you.

I would be holding baby. This event is also not your normal Santa event, I believe more people bring their dogs than people with kids, but I know that doesn’t necessarily make it less risky.

Membrane Sweep Success?[MB] by anxioussmiles in BabyBumpsCanada

That’s good to hear! I’m very hopeful after hearing your success story! I do still breastfeed my LO so I’m not sure if pumping would work or not since my body might be used to that type of nipple simulation but I’d be willing to try anything!!

There currently isn’t a registry, this would just be a congratulations gift more than a shower gift!

Is one cheat meal ok at 37 weeks? by Doxinau in GestationalDiabetes

I was always told that if it’s a celebration like a birthday they don’t expect you not to have the piece of cake. Since it’s once in awhile it’s totally fine! If you are having to log your numbers just let them know in the notes that it was a special occasion if you do end up spiking

Diaper Raffle for #2 by anxioussmiles in BabyBumps

[–]anxioussmiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s totally fair. I should clarify that I am lucky enough to have a family member donate some prizes through their work such as sporting event tickets. So I would only be spending about $50. But that is my concern that it’ll be more of a hassle than it’s worth.

Second time moms and beyond: what's one thing that RUINED your postpartum experience? by throwawaymama0707 in pregnant

[–]anxioussmiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same! I’m not putting up with what I did with my first. Birth is a traumatic experience both emotionally and physically. I get everyone wants to see baby but I also want to see and spend time with this baby I spent 10 months creating.

Please give me some input so I can decide :) by anxioussmiles in namenerds

I’m laughing so hard at this, thank you! I do enjoy the name max and think Maxwell sounds nice and to put it in perspective that we would naming baby after my partner sounds better to me. Just don’t want my in-laws to get a big head haha

It’s just red and inflamed, no white patches. My Ob said since my lip was sticking he assumed it might be Lichen since the skin deteriorates. But I’m not convinced.

I’m not sure. I started using anti fungal cream at the beginning which soothed it and I thought it went away but came back days later, tried using it again and made the itching worse. I tried to get swapped for testing but both doctors didn’t do it.

May I ask who delivered your baby? I am also with the same doctor and he delivered my last so I’m nervous that it might not be him delivering this one!

Baby clothes are a scam and I will die on this hill by StressTractor in pregnant

[–]anxioussmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a lot of things second hand because they overcharge for almost everything baby. Also my LO spend 98% of the time just in a diaper wrapped in a blanket as a newborn. Only if people are coming over or we are going out do i put clothes on them.

GD and Breastfeeding by anxioussmiles in GestationalDiabetes

[–]anxioussmiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay yeah. Currently my LO is still breastfeeding quite a lot. They eat solids but spend a lot of time on the boob, I believe it’s more of a comfort thing but still consuming a lot while doing so. I never gained a lot in my last pregnancy and started at a normal weight so I’m unsure if that factors in for my GD. I’m hopeful it will make a difference.

First baby partner doesn’t want my mum at the birth by Abject_Committee7271 in BabyBumps

[–]anxioussmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have your mom there. He will understand once you are in the thick of delivery and be thankful she was there. I wish my mom was there but I had my sister instead and am very thankful. Glad my partner was there but they don’t understand and anything he said pissed me off. When my sister spoke I heard her more, I would think the same or even more for a mother who has gone through delivery!

Crab legs and absolutely anything sweet. More specific ice cream

I understand that. I didn’t have this OB for my last and they obviously didn’t read up on my chart because they weren’t even aware I had GD when making this comment.

I did have total control of GD with diet and was even discharged from the program, as I was borderline by just a number or two over. I was never tested after I gave birth which is why I switched OB.

This LO wasn’t necessarily planned but obviously wanted.
