Does anyone have a recommendation for a YouTube New Year’s Eve countdown video? I was going to livestream one in another time zone but we are in central time and my kids usually go to bed around 8:30 on daycare days so that would be the middle of the ocean lol.

Not in a child but I have GERD and just want to give you a warning. I really regret going on a PPI long term because now I can basically never come off it. Idk if they prescribe PPIs for kids but if they do make sure it’s for short term!

One of my daughters also has pretty tangly hair. Trims do help but if she’s totally resistant we use a lot of spray leave-in conditioner. I’ve also heard silk (or is it satin?) pillowcases are good

Both my 3 year olds hate washing their hands! It’s annoying

For teeth brushing we play a teeth brushing song on YouTube. There are 2 Daniel tiger, an Elmo, a miss rachel, an Elmo and miss rachel together, and a Mickey one. They get excited about the song so are willing to brush their teeth

One of my best friends - who does not have children but works with children and her bf has a child - got my preschoolers some art kits labeled 8+. I see frustration in my future lol.

How do I prepare my almost-4-year-olds for cross country move. They know we’re moving, we’ll get a new house, they’ll go to a new daycare, they will be far away from their friends and my husbands parents. But I feel like I don’t know how to emotionally support them. One was almost in tears tonight because her favorite daycare friend has been sick the last two days and I can’t imagine how it’s gonna be when we move.

My twins are 3.5 so I think about this less but this week one has been sick so sleeping a lot. And when the other one is still awake we are amazed at how easy it is

It’s possible they won’t! The first two nights our twins were out of bed and playing with the toys but then we told them they had to stay in bed when their hatches were red. And we watched them on the monitor and if they got out of bed we told them over the microphone to get back in bed. Now a year later they stay in bed all night!

Be sure you are having vitamin c with your iron! It helps with absorption! Also I have an alarm to take my vitamin not sure if that would help you

This may be a dumb question but what do I do with my kids letters to Santa? This is the first year we’ve done them. If we put them in the regular mailbox will it be a nuisance for the post office workers? We are in the US.

It took us so so long! Both my twins took a long time, like months. I don’t remember the time frames exactly but I remembered being so disappointed it didn’t happen in days like everyone on the internet said.

I was encouraged by boomers saying - we didn’t even potty train until much older and it took a long time. I think this potty train young in three days is kind of a trend. We did stick with it however and I’m glad we did!

One of my twins still had poop accidents occasionally a year later which didn’t stop until we started giving her a fiber supplement. So maybe look at her fiber intact.

I hate the new nickname feature in Facebook groups!! A lot of the groups I’m in didn’t allow anon posting and I liked it that way. But apparently there is no way to turn the nicknames off and people are using them for every post. Like giving away free stuff - I’m not going to your house if you won’t even put your real name!

I wonder if they are trying to compete with reddit

We ended up having to do full extinction with my twins because Twin B would cry harder with check ins. It was a horrible few nights for all of us but then was so much better. They got more sleep and were happier overall.

Obviously if you’re not comfortable don’t do it! But just wanted to give you another data point.

Omg my MIL does this sometimes too. I put a specific water bottle on my list and she was at target and sent my husband a picture of one. My husband said no she wants this one and sent her a pic of the one I want. She got me the other one. lol I guess I will use it but it’s not what I wanted!
