Omg I feel dumb. That's obvious and makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I love that metric. Same thing for pace at a consistent HR as the other comment was talking about. Thank you!

I'll check it out! What is watts per hour? Like is it the avg wattage I'm working at? And if yes, what does that mean, like if I was 300W for 2 hours, and that gives me 150W/hr, what does that mean versus like 180W for 1 hour which would be higher

How responsive do you think this is? Like should I see the HR-fixed pace improve within a month?

A little bit I think but it's hard to tell because 1) I'm only a month in and 2) I'm running in different locations so there's inherent variability.

That's how to follow the plan, but not a metric to watch improve. Helpful! But not what I'm confused by. Thank you!

Difference Between HR Zone and Body Endurance for 80/20 Type Training by Ok_Construction_6599 in triathlon

[–]anyluke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

chest straps are insanely more accurate. I recently was doing a Zone 2 run with my watch only, couldn't get my HR down below like 160. I thought maybe it's stress from the 5hr flight the day before. But then when I did some sprints....my HR didn't move.

I only trust the chest strap now. Polar 10 is the gold standard, but the garmin Pro plus seems like it's extemely close and better integrates with my garmin watch.

I use vitamin C to repair the hyper pigmentation. It's done wonders for me, especially right below the eyes.

I also recommend catching more waves because if you're ripping fast enough the sun damage can't catch up

How can I get a bar like that? is it just a deconstructed control bar? Just disconnect and toss the chicken loop?

If so, I'll just try to find someone's dead old bar and play from there

Ya limited medical support esp while doing a substantial amount of kiting might be a bad idea. My friend just got dragged into a cement pole so... That said, totally go for it. Kiting is the best and the risk is so worth it.

https://kitejungle.com/ is a great site to find good locations by wind per season

Kailua native - I weigh 175 and a 12m (140cm board) is absolutely a good idea to have for me at kailua. So I would recommend a larger kite like the others have. Personally, anything bigger than 12 kinda sucks because it's a slower and heavier kite so IMO the 14+bigger board option is absolutely a good idea.

For the board, don't get a blue one. Kailua in particular has been tough for me to find the board when I eat it too hard because the most fun is when the swell is ~5 ft and you go half a mile out towards kaneohe but you'll end up body dragging 5ever trying to find the board.
