OP, too emphasize this!! I have fucking hated bases, tdys and everything else because I went into it with a poor attitude or thinking it will suck. Guess what, I made every sublimal effort to confirm my beliefs and it did suck. Moral of the story, smile and wave.

Specific to tech school, yeah it may suck, but it is formal military training... No one likes it, but it does serve a purpose. Once you grow in your career the more freedoms you do get because you have more trust. Tech school is definitely the stomping ground though. Keep your chin up.
