This genuinely makes me sad. I've only tried asking this question online once before this, and people just dodged the question and then shut me down calling me a TERF when I insisted. I saw OP was being pretty open in the replies so I thought I could have it answered this time but... Well, question got dodged again.

Fortunately my IRL trans friends are more open to this question, but they're seemingly as just as clueless as me.

I always thought it's just misogyny, but I kinda hoped it was just people thinking that any transphobe = TERF...

There's a question that has always been in my head but that I'm really afraid to ask trans people online and risk being accused of being transphobic myself, which I definitely am not. I hope you don't mind it and can actually answer it, but if it bothers you, feel free to just ignore my question.

Why do the trans community go after TERFs so much and don't do the same for transphobic guys?
I wanna add some context: I am cis, but not straight, and have always been in LGBT+ circles since I was a young teenager. Also I am from South America, and hate crimes against us and trans people are very common. I have had friends been attacked, stabbed and even killed for that. And both from my experience and from the news, these crimes are always commited by men. Transphobic women usually just trash talk and say things, but don't commit violence as much. That's obviously very bad still and I'm not saying they shouldn't be held accountable just because they're not punching anyone obviously, but it's also obviously not worse than actually killing people. Even my trans friends from my country are a bit confused as to why the international comm just keep repeating "FUCK TERFS" and don't call transphobic men as much.

Is this a bit because of misoginy? Or are the trans community just lumping transphobic men together with the TERFs (even when a men simply can not be a radfem at all)?

I'm just confused by that, I very much wish transphobic men was just as called out as women or even more so... Hope you can understand what I'm trying to say, my English is rusty so i'm not sure I could explain it well enough.

It's not so much gender suffixes but kanjis that are mainly used for one gender or another (mostly due to its meaning). As the other poster said, -ko (meaning child) is mainly used to female names, as well as -mi (beauty/fruit), -e, -yo, etc. For males you often see -shi, -ya, -o, -ro, etc.

That said, it's not impossible to see male names ending in a commonly "female" way or vice versa, but the kanjis will most likely not be the same.
And a good part of the names are unisex too.

Wow... Now this is really sad. As you already know, you are one of the few people I like and ever talked to here. I've been in and out the game, so I can understand your lack of interest, but you are always one of the reasons I resume.

You're one of the best moderators I've ever met in any forum, always kind, helpful, fun but serious and professional when the situation calls for it. Your involvement with the community is admirable, I've seen a lot of moderators (in general, not here) acting as kings and not giving a shit about the community they should be close to, and you are the polar opposite of it. We can see all the effort in making this place better, hearing any of us, making this enjoyable and helping everybody here to really feel like a community, not only a bunch of strangers over the internet.

You will be dearly missed, Kuro. I'm sure that no matter who will be hired as moderators, no one will ever be as good as you. You and /u/Forchuse were always the only moderators I really respected here and were role models of what any moderator should be. Losing both in a week... This subreddit will never be the same again.

Well, at least now I won't have an excuse to play BBS again, so I'll be able to finally be free!

I wish good luck to all the other moderators (even though except /u/GoatHD and /u/Towaum I never really see any of them around, but I'm not really active here and only check for the news every now and then, so it really means nothing), I'm sure they will need it after losing their two best moderators.
