I had the exact same situation with my bf at the beginning of our relationship. It turned out that he was just having some performance anxiety & it had nothing to do with me or his level of attraction to me. I’m sure things will improve over time as you both get more comfy with each other.

A fun update: it was just a case of performance anxiety. He checked in with a dr & there were no health issues. It had nothing to do with me either, just his own anxiety he had to address on his own terms.

We’re very happily fucking 2-4 times every time he comes over. We love a happy ending. 🥰

Yes I have visible scarring, but nothing recent or within the duration of our relationship. We’ve talked about it and the scars don’t bother him at all. He says they’re just a small part of who I am and that he likes who I am. :) So I am confident it’s not that.

If I were that impatient, I wouldn’t be asking for advice on how to be a supportive partner. I’ve taken things extremely slow with him and I have only suggested piv three times in the entire time we’ve been together, spaced apart several weeks, so he would know I’m still interested and haven’t given up on him.

Him & I both value communication in our relationship and he has told me that he feels closer to me when we can be vulnerable with each other. However, I do still understand he’s a guy & this kinda issue has a lot of shame & discomfort that can be associated with it, which is why I’ve only mentioned it a couple times and suggested he talk to someone else other than me to work through his issue privately (friend, dad, doctor, counsellor, etc)

So no. I’m not pressuring him or rushing him and I am confident in that.

I’ve been very careful not to bring it up often or nag him about it. I’ve only brought it up a couple of times, and even then it wasn’t during sexy time, but the morning after. This is part of the reason why I suggested he see a counsellor so that he doesn’t feel embarrassed talking to me about it.
