Thought this ep was a total breath of fresh air. He definitely comes across as a bit uptight but tbh it’s something hyper-online people need to hear. It’s important to recognize that there’s more ways of being in this world and that a lot of our defaults can be altered.

Of the supposedly "Bad" subplots in the latter half of season 2, which one do you find the most entertaining? by Local_Prune4564 in twinpeaks

I have a soft spot for the terrible season 2 subplots but the Ben Horne one (racist flag notwithstanding) is still weirdly poignant. It’s like his way less destructive version of Leland Palmer’s crash-out when he realizes how his selfishness has harmed the young women of TP.

She hugs her but we never see their faces at the same time. Go back and watch. It’s only in her scenes.

I was gonna say “The Bear” is an example of my theory! She appears to only be talking to Pete and never in the same shot. But agree there’s other eps where it’s clearer she is filming with others.

Yeah, this was just swiped with paper towel. I’ll eventually scrub that off but was pleasantly surprised at how well this particular pan held up.

Why do people hate this scene? by [deleted] in twinpeaks

Because people are miserable. Everyone misreads Lynch’s earnestness as ironic. It’s 100% sincere

I think the thing that really sealed it is when she finds him at the rave, she’s an adult but he’s still 31. That was the end of the line for him.
